That prick labelling anyone a plastic is beyond ironic, as he's a Finnish based Irishman who's not been to Anfield in his ****ing life
Not the best comparison. Saints finished two points behind Liverpool. Balotelli scored 1 (one) league goal to Van Persie's 10!
But it was balotelli a first season back in the prem which apparently is a good enough excuse to do worse even if you are better
Since February Southampton have been on a downward spiral even Everton fans might think about questioning their club over Games won each month by Southampton: May 1/4 wins: Aston Villa (saving themselves for the FA Cup Final) April 1/4 wins: Hull (relegated) March 2/3 wins: Burnley (relegated) and Crystal Palace (Koeman admitted lucky) February 1/5 wins: QPR (relegated) #ouch
How is less points better? It's a bit like saying global warming is cooling the planet So Rafa did better than Fergie in 2008 coming in second to United because Fergie was managing United longer Interesting logic
Saints had a better season than Liverpool, perhaps not from a points perspective but certainly from an expectation perspective. Liverpool's ambitions were top 4 and potentially a title challenge with their strike force which was second only to City's. Saints went into the season concerned that a new manager and the loss of five key players could mean a hard year but they outperformed all expectations. There's no doubt which manager had the better season and it wasn't Del Boy Rodgers!
I admire your support of Brent. I am a big fan and hope he stays at Anfield for years to come. He's perfect for Liverpool.
You mistake actual fact for "support". It's like saying "it's raining today" when it rains, by your logic meaning you "support rain" #simpleton
The points say differently albeit marginally, but only because of such an unexpected end of season collapse by Liverpool, Southamptons end of season collapse was expected. Southampton should have done much better tho, given the decent squad they have, they could have finished 4th with a better manager, be thankful they and Liverpool collapsed, you should be. So, Liverpool have done worse and Southampton have done as expected. Liverpool still ended up with more points given such a disasterous season. How that translates into Southampton doing "better" in the league is beyond any factual reasoning and credible logic. It is par for the Shteve course tho. Funny how you lot keep saying for years "the table never lies" until it suits you to say otherwise.
I see. So you're going with the logic of a nine year old fan then. Brent beat Koeman twice this season so he's the superior manager. LVG beat Brent twice this season so he's even more superior. Gary Monk beat LVG twice so he's super superior. But then Brent beat Monk so it's suddenly got confusing. Anyway, the key thing is that Brent has to stay at Liverpool and finish the job he's doing so well.
You forgot Spurs who finished above you. You always forget Spurs. It's almost like you think you finished 5th which you didn't as you lost your last two games 3-1 at home and 6-1 away. Stevie Me's glorious send off! Very few predicted Saints would finish 7th this season. Most were tipping them for a relegation scrap after their player exodus. Liverpool obviously had a dreadful season under a hopeless manager. No point sugar coating a turd.
You're gloating about finishing two points ahead of a team who you gave £50million to last summer! It wasn't supposed to turn out this way when you jumped on the European Cup bandwagon!
7th isn't surprising for the 8th most expensive squad in the league plus Martinez doing what he does best You don't need to be a #footballgenius but it helps
