I get the feeling you have never seen Milner play.

Averaging 54mins a game would suggests he is more the subbed player rather than coming off the bench

 

I posted the stats not too long ago. He hasn't started many games over the past 5 years.

Put Milner in a team full of world class players, he can perform a role. Problem is, he won't be joining a team of stars. He'll be the one expected to be the star. Quite frankly, he isn't one.

 

Maybe join us and be less divided then

But in all seriousness, this fanbase is divided. I don't think Rodgers can turn this around.

Going into the new season with all of this negativity and division is not healthy.

 

If we can sign a quality DM and ST, then there will be hope.

But I don't think Rodgers understands how important a DM is.

 

But when we start the new season we'll all be behind the team no matter what.

I think that's what makes us a bit different, we always back the team no matter what. Other teams you often see them giving up a bit if not happy with the manager but we still cheer on the team even during the Roy days.

The fans may be divided over Rodgers, but we all want one thing, and that's for the club to be successful and that's one thing we're together on.

You mean at lesser clubs? We applied the same logic when signing Adam, Carroll, Downing, Henderson, Lallana, Lovren, Lambert.

Difference is - Milner was unable to step up when at a big club challenging on the big stage. He's rarely the one who changes the big matches.

 

Ha. I now remember why I left this forum 2 years ago. Milner was played in most big matches by Pellegrini. He was trusted by his manager and team mates. He's exactly what we need with Gerrard leaving. See you in 2 years....

Your actually wrong on this one. Milner has been a great impact sub for City for the last few years and had a great first team run just after Christmas where he got a good number of goals and assists.

When he ran the show at Villa they were competing for top 4 with us, and finished above us.

 

C'mon. . Our issues then were self inflicted. Villa never topped us on merit.
