That's going to be the interesting thing. If it's McClaren [or Carver] then we know he hasn't and is sticking his fingers up to the fans once again. If it's Vieira it's showing ambition.

 

The only reason that keeps on nagging at me is that I didn't think Ashley would want someone with that much influence over the players. Vieira will not be a puppet.

 

fat mike probably thinks one of two things:-

1 - Vieira will bring his city youngsters in on the cheap and he can sell them back to city for mega bucks (or another club)

2 - he's done a deal with the Arabs to bring in a load of city youngsters on loan, turn NUFC into a Man City youth development team all for a share of the profits when City sell them on for mega bucks.

It's all about megabucks!

 

Vieira would probably chin Lee Charnley if he tried to sell someone.

 

Ive read on Twitter, skimming through, its Viera and Garde, like a dream team!

 

Apparently the talks with Vieira have been 'positive.' I don't know whether this is true or not.

 

Unless he's posted in a pic on the NUFC website then we can safely assume there's at least a 50% chance this is all bullshit.

 

I'd find it hard to believe he would come here. I can see him having an ego and accepting having to work with pardews goon squad. I cant see him liking his lack of influence in the transfer market.

 

I can't see him liking that either, which means either:
a. he won't accept the job, or
b. things have changed.

Vieira won't accept the current working conditions. If the club are serious about him they need to bite the bullet and give him what he wants, i.e. complete control.

I cant see any reason why Viera If offered the job, would not proceed to take it.

As a player he has accomplished everything (well near enough)

As a manager, nothing. He has the opportunity to take over a premier league club as his first job! that in itself is madness, not only that, but a club with 52,000.00 fans and the neucleus of a good squad with perhaps 30m + being spent bringing in new talent

If I was viera I would bite Charnley's hand off. but at the same time, he does have to make sure he has the right tools to do the job and he doesnt just get strung up for others mistakes.

If he is offerred the job I would really expect him to take it, No one else if offering him anything and if he turns down an offer like this, he could find himself managing a Wycombe in league 2 trying to build a name for himself

 

On Betfair, Vieira has actually drifted and McLaren is favourite again.

Crikey - what's this? Interesting things at NUFC and not just the same humdrum bollox? Shame all that pesky football got in the way, really.

 

They can **** right off with appointing McClaren. He's dogshit. His football is dire and him attempting a Geordie accent would be embarrassing. He can **** off and crawl under a rock.
