With Swiss Attorney General investigating the 2018 and 2022 WC bids, I expect England to end up holding the 2018 World Cup as it has the stadiums and transport facilities already. Hell England could hold it tomorrow easy.

of course they could valley, i hope this happens as corruption should not win and if it does go ahead in qatar then it will be an injustice. they would probably use the millennium stadium as well...

I can't see the 2018 world cup being held anywhere but Russia, the stadiums are built there to hold this now. And it says the investigations will not be looking at the decision making of the next two world cups, that is down to fifa to do as the corruption is about the individuals taking money, and lets face it here, the South African Government paid bribes by the looks of things. Can't see anything being done there on that.

I would nt bet on that jager, There is already talk about banning russia and pulling the plug on qatar.....you cant let corruption win and there is 3 years to go yet so there is plenty of time to kick out these crooks the biggest imo is bladder and form a new board....even if England dont get it there are plenty of footballing countries that already have the capability to stage the WC tomorrow....Its not a problem...

The FAW are backing Prince Ali bin al-Hussein for president. We're never going to get the World Cup now.

as long as bladder is ousted i dont care, we don't know what the new board will do....You cant say we wont hold the WC on the basis that we will get a new president at all.

The best thing, absolutely the best thing, is for A select few to leave FIFA and start a new world football association. The others get in by invitation.

If England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, USA, Australia and Japan left FIFA then that is the majority of FIFAs income gone. The majority of UEFA associations are decent enough, they'd want to follow the big boys to the new association. And the majority would be welcomed and you are looking at a fifty nation strong force in weeks.

It would be the end of FIFA, the end of Blatter. The end of all the corrupt bastards. And you can bet that Japan, Australia and USA would want the new association based in New York under the all preying eyes of the FBI and a place where a potentially rogue associations allocation on money can be frozen inside an hour.

This is what football needs, but for all the words the likes of the good guys are saying they don't seem interested in it. The only way to truly defeat corruption in FIFA is to crush FIFAs existence. I wouldn't be saddened if it happened to be honest.

Having read around the characters involved I am warming to Blatter who really has developed Football into a World game far more than his predecessors.

If he's corrupt he should go, however, there appears to be little evidence but a lot of bile from European and American (it's football not saccurr you douchebags!). Given the support he receives from Africa and Asia for supporting the development of Football in those continents I suspect he will be re-elected. If so he's president and any stamping of feet by UEFA or Greg Dyke will have a very negative effect.

And the FBI is incorruptible? I have no doubt some skulduggery has been at play but I also have no doubt the FBI will produce 'evidence' one way or another. Their 'plea bargaining' ensures the result they want is achieved irrespective of innocence or guilt. Has anyone one asked why the FBI is taking the lead? Could it be one of their own was criticised for a report or that Chuck Blazer (seriously, that's his name - another saccurr person in the states) is trying to avoid a 'stretch on the hill'?

'Blazer was "one of the most powerful men in world soccer" before he left FIFA in 2013 amid an ethics investigation, according to SB Nation, which noted that Blazer most likely cooperated with the FBI's FIFA investigation to avoid prison time.

Blazer has pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy, wire-fraud conspiracy, money-laundering conspiracy, income-tax evasion, and failure to file a Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR), according to a US Department of Justice statement released Wednesday. He forfeited nearly $2 million and agreed to pay another undetermined amount when he is sentenced.'

Personally I would have more faith if the EU or Switzerland had taken the lead.

Blatter just described #FIFA/#WorldCup as "We are the goose with the golden egg and we need to protect that". Is he for real?

The crook has managed to win quite easily once again.

Time for the FAs of England, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Wales, Scotland, NI, ROI, Czech, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, USA, Oz etc to break away.
    Without these countries, FIFA dies.

Time for UEFA to stand up and block the 2022 world cup by categorically stating that the CL will go ahead during it's usual calendar year and that no national leagues will be postponed etc.

By all accounts Dai, Spain voted Blatter, along with France.

I dont understand that if its true as spain stated that it would pull out of the WC just a few days ago. odd that you say that, Bladder was forced into a second vote as it was neck and neck but for some mysterious reason the other guy gave in.......something fishy about that as he was keen as mustard.

Didn't Platini say he intended voting against Blatter and if elected France should withdraw but the head of the France FA (or whatever the title is) said he would vote for Blatter as he knew nothing about the sheik?

If ISIS aren't checked Qatar won't exist in 2022

Bladder was only a few votes short of the two thirds majority after the first round. So it was pointless exercise going to a second round as he would have lost anyway.

It will exist as the US have far to much to lose in that area to allow ISIS to gain control.
