This it's also symptomatic of aging fans in the stands due to the younger generations being priced out in a lot of cases. Not sure how much that's having an effect with us, but without family ties to bring you to your first games it's attracting those new fans that's a key challenge. Would like to hope Chris Powell can get us playing a style of football that'll get a good number of new fans coming through, if the optimism of the summer carries through into the new season we could see the renaissance of Charlton-everyone's 2nd team, which we were for a while.

I think re black/Asian supporters is because of the popularity in Africa etc of teams like man utd and Liverpool. Families have grown up watching them over there and now their kids are following in family footsteps. Fair?
