Alex Bruce has been retained at the expense of Paul McShane, if that ain't Nepotism, I don't know what is.

I was perfectly fine with him until he released Rosey and Macca whilst keeping Junior.

****ing disgraceful decision.

 

I've been pissed off at him all season for the boring and ineffective style of play. But I convinced myself after Sunday that he could take us back up. I still think he's earnt some loyalty, but he's certainly doing his best to throw that away.

 

I hope he's gone by Christmas. Seriously. He's lost the plot.

I too am pissed that McShane and Rosenior have been cut. I just don't understand Bruces reasoning in cutting 2 of what would be the best backmen in the Championship. Liam Rosenior was basically our best defender after Davies in the 2013-14 season, come the new season he barely gets a look in, reason I don't know. However, Bruce Junior has been one of our better defenders this season and I wouldn't like to see him leave either. Bruce senior really has to get his act together and work out which direction he wants to take this club. Hopefully its up, but at the moment I don't think he even knows

I'm gonna reserve judgement on Bruce until we see the whole picture at the end of the transfer window. But on the face of it, releasing Rosey and Macca is pretty bad - they are two decent players who genuinely do give a ****. I had Macca pencilled in for a new contract and testimonial in 2-3 years.

I am sad to see 2 icons go but we must keep our quality players who have contracts.

If we could shift Davies quickly then Macca leaving could be stopped.

From reading this board, weren't McShane and Rosenior offered contracts in the winter?

They've rejected the chance to sign them at that point and haven't been offered new ones. I don't see how that's Bruce's fault.
