Been informed McShane hasn't been offered a new deal and 4 clubs have already made contact with him. Gutted,
I know you are saying that with your embittered anti- Allam, anti- Bruce, hat on, but, if true, then it will be a good deal. With Dawson, Maguire, Bruce and Davies we have an excellent Championship nucleus there.
We have so many defensive players that it's a shame that some decent larkers like Mcshane and Rosy are on their way out but with the likes of Maguire, Lenihan and Townsend ready for next season you can see why unfortunately one or 2 fan favourites will be going. I reckon Bruce Jr might be off too after thinking about it, he's the wrong age for a player not guaranteed to start. If both the Bruces go I wish them well too, I appreciate what they both have done for us. It's the midfield dicks Livermore/Huddlestone who have seen us relegated this year, they are the ones with supposed quality on big wages/signed for big money, Meyler/Quinn can't be blamed, utility players.
Apologies, I don't like to edit people's work but... Edit: McGregor's isn't midfield I know. I just hate the ****.
I don't think Davies will necessarily be with us either and Bruce snr obviously thought McShane was better than Bruce jnr, he played him ahead of him. I don't really care about Bruce giving his lad another deal, I'm only concerned about whose expense it comes at.
I don't see why not. McShane seems the sort of person that would take a pay cut to play football regularly. I think he's just the type of person Burnley want. Somebody that puts in 100% every match.
Mcgregor is another one arguably though I stood up for him mostly. Loads of our players let us down this year, that's why I have sympathy for Bruce sr, even if he himself admitted he had made critical mistakes. The bottom line is if the players had played to their potential we would still be up, they didn't so we are down, we were down after the Burnley match.
I am gutted about Rosie leaving. Sometimes its important to have players who actually care about the club, and you can guarantee that they will give their all. It also lessons our chances of playing 4-4-2, which is frustrating as I think we should have played that far more this season. I think we are just disappointed to see a player who gave his all leave when in my eyes there are others who may stay who didn't seem to care at all.
Spot on, Obi. Paul McShane is not only loyal, but honest and would not sell Hull City short. Paul is also a professional footballer who will move on and do as good a job as he is able for another club. We cut our nose off to ...
I have read and also feel that players and coaches have let us down and they have, haven't they. But at the top of our club is our most trusted and honoured appointment, that of Chairman. This is where the true failing has been. We have no heart or soul, just a lifeblood of supporters, fans, if you must, who are bled, abused and treated as vassels to some glorious leader; our Chairman. Our support is fractured, our ambitions unclear and fudged, our loyalty tested when it should not be. Don't buy your season pass, send a clear and unequivocal message that we will not support a bully. Simply say no, Mr Allam.
It's not rocket science - McShane is on a bigger salary than Bruce and from past experience with us will not accept any reduction. Last time we got relegated and faced financial ruin he made sure he got his full salary. Now don't get me wrong, I like McShane as a footballer, but I won't lose any sleep if he were to leave- we have got plenty of excellent and cheaper cover defensively.
