Leicester 4:30 - Alfajer 11/4. Back down to 7f which I think will suit her better, she was tried over a mile lto and even though she was maybe a bit unlucky in running, she maybe just didn't have much of a finish left in her towards the end. It was a good comeback run for her and everything being well tomorrow I'd fancy her strongly to take it.
Good morning all, Whilst we are settling down and preparing to go back to work i have come up with a few selections to hopefully start the week with a bang. Redcar 250- Cocker 320- Broctune Papa Gio 520- Alaskan Wing NAP Hexam 610- Astrum 740- Wyefield Rose 810- Tweedo Paradiso
3.20 Redcar. BROCHUNE PAPA GIO. Also put up by Boil. Massive each way chance. Opened at 20-1. Already down to 14s.
Quinn has another with a not to dissimilar profile in the 2:50 at Redcar. Racing Spirit, 16/1 currently.
I lost out to this photo finish at Goodwood on Saturday and for the life of me cannot see how this was not a dead heat. I feel it may have been one where the judge was determined not to have one. http://media.britishhorseracing.com/images/photofinish/hireswatermark/2015_18012_0.jpg
Enlace trained by Mark Johnson won the race so looking at the colours I assume that was the one at the top and I would agree with that verdict
Well done to Oisin Murphy on winning his first Classic - he rode Andreas Wohler's colt Karpino to an impressive 4.5 length victory in the German 2000 GNS. Wohler said: "It's most likely the German Derby will now be next on his programme but he is entered in every big race. He definitely stays and all the big mile and a half races will be options."
Two big fancies for me today: 5:20 Redcar - Lily Moreton 12/1 8:00 Ballinrobe - Dysios 13/2 Won't get chance to put either on. I've got day off and have me little lad rather than sending him to his grandparents so can't go to bookies
Rock The World 7/4 Ballinrobe 8:00 makes his chase debut tonight and he should prove a cut above these, and the sharp track should strengthen his claims even more where he can use his speed to good effect. Was a useful hurdler if just a bit short of Grade 1 class. I'd expect A Sizing Network to worry him most especially with the weight difference. Rock The World has beat A Sizing Network comfortably in a hurdles race before and should confirm superiority over Fences.
