Ipswich fan in peace. Congratulations on the promotion guys, you played well today and I'm sure it's a day of celebration for you.

As much as it pains me to say it, I'm kind of glad you're out of the Championship for next season, as we've struggled against your lot recently.

It would be good to see us both in the Premier League in the near future, assuming we can actually get promoted next season.

Gary O'neil has won 3 of the last 4 playoff finals. Good mad to have around clearly. Was such an awesome day out. There really is something special about Alex Neil.

I'd like the old farm Derby to be played out in the PL, I think it would be good for East Anglian as a whole. Tbh I think you're going to need to do a lot over the summer to get there. There was a large difference between 1st and 6th this year in terms of quality.

That said next season could be a good opportunity the teams coming down don't look too threatening and there're few teams in the championship that stand out. Obviously someone will come out of nowhere, a la Bournmouth, and Boro will no doubt still be strong but I think it will be pretty open.

just (I say) back from the restaurant (locally in Bahrain) where me and wifey watched this tremendous game. She said that we were as good as Seville. I said we were as good as Norwich City Football Club. How we laughed. Premier League qualidade mother ****ers

In Mick, we don't have the most progressive of coaches (compared to yours, for instance), but he has done an impressive job on a limited budget. This season, the play-offs for us was an over-achievement, I believe, as not many of us believed we could achieve a top-six finish. But this campaign has provided us with a strong benchmark to build on. We need a new right back, more pace and quality in midfield, and to keep hold of our more promising players, which will be a challenge.

You've obviously benefited from recent Premier League football, and the financial dividends that comes from that. Not to mention your board generally have a good eye for a manager, which we can't say for Evans, considering he employed the likes of Keane and Jewell, who both wasted millions on average players.

If I was a Norwich fan, I'd be quietly optimistic about your fortunes in the Premier League. There are several clubs that could have been relegated this year, and if you can spend money in the right areas and keep hold of your better players, then you must fancy avoiding relegation. Alex Neil is a promising young manager, who has got you playing decent football, so who knows where you'll finish next season. I certainly won't be tipping you for relegation. If there is one promoted side going down next season, I'd put my money on Watford.

Yes well done Norwich. As much as I wanted Boro to win today I have to say you clearly deserved it.
And at least it means we were beaten by the best team in these playoffs.

Will be interesting next season how AN copes in the premiership. Don't agree with the comment that we'll lose our best players etc. I think we'll build on what's been achieved already.

Promotion I can take or leave as I liked Championship life, but am all for having a go at the higher level.

For me, the most important thing was getting one over Middlesbrough's after the last time we played them. That was so frustrating as we all knew we should have beaten them then.

Ironically, if they had lost to us then, they may well have beaten whoever was their opposition today.

Indeed - their gamesmanship will live in the memory for ages. It was really salutary that they had no gameplan after going behind - they were unbelievably poor today and would have been a disgrace to the premiership

    From http://www.espnfc.co.uk/norwich-cit...ex-neil-sees-big-task-ahead-in-premier-leage?

And Canaries captain Russell Martin suffered relegation last year but believes, under Neil, the squad are better equipped to stay in the top flight.

"This is the best squad we've had since I've been at the club. We will only strengthen that in the summer. We're ready and I think the manager is as well. We'll go up and have a right go," he said. "Last year there wasn't enough enjoyment. Next year is about trying to enjoy it and staying in the league, like we did the first year we got promoted [in 2011].

    Too bloody right, Rusty! OTBC!!!

In a way I will miss the championship as it offers more excitement, entertainment and being able to compete for the top 6. Next season we all would settle for 17th and just staying up. Still, I'm looking forward to next season and under AN I think we will finish mid table. Great day though.

Just got back and it was unreal!

Simply the best day ever I have experienced in football.

I lost control on the second goal and ended up hugging a bald drunk man among others. My son, who is 6 got showered with wine as well.

It was complete and utter chaos when the goals went in, the support was excellent today. Top notch.

Yep, one helluva day. Our support was fantastic today and it made the day even more memorable.

Interesting to see a number of empty seats - not many mind you but considering the hoo-hah last week over the allocation I didn't expect to see any. Not sure if these weren't sold or whether it was just people not turning up.

Brilliant day, probably the best in 48 years of supporting the Canaries - hope I get my voice back in time for work tomorrow <cheers>

I agree, I would like you guys to go up next season providing we stay up. Always miss the Old Farm Derby.

I have to say though, what a ****ing fantastic day, Wembley was absolutely buzzing!!

I can't really put into words how brilliant it was, one of the best days I've had. Makes it all worth it, days like this!!

Did you and your brother go? I watched it up the White Elephant, heard a few cheers as the goals went in round by the pool tables thought it might have been your lot so wandered round at full-time to have a look...

Yeah, went with brother, two sisters and old man. Can't beat the days up the football with the family and obviously today was just bang on!

Chuffed for my old man, poor guy got emotional at the end. That's what it's all about though.

Was there a few Norwich fans in there than? Quite a few Norwich fans got the train from Northampton, majority of them were from here, was surprised about that, didn't think there was that many around here.
