The most disgusting thing about the PNE game was the little boy being robbed by that intimidating guy in the grey top, of Beckfords top, with the stewards not having the bottle to step in and stop him. At no time until the last few seconds of a 2-3 minute struggle did the "girl?" in the pink top get a hand to it.
Even the commentators were aghast with horror, at the final action of it being brutally ripped from the little boys hand. Hopefully it will get picked up and recompense made to the little lad /s made.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it.

I hope Preston take action - that is exactly as per the thread title.

I'm sure that little kid - and the grown-up couple - will all get what they deserve.

Footage from yesterday’s Wembley final appeared to show an unsightly tug-of-war breaking out after match-winner Jermaine Beckford threw his shirt into the crowd – resulting in young Ted Dockray having the jersey taken from his arms.

The 31-year-old woman spotted snatching the shirt refused to answer questions over the incident when contacted by the Mirror, but said: “My side of the story will soon come out.” She later told the Manchester Evening News: “People have made me out to be an absolute idiot. I will be speaking to the family, I actually know them, they’re friends.”

It is understood the woman knows the young boy and his family and plans to speak to them to clear the air when she returns from London tomorrow. The incident has sparked a furious backlash on social media – prompting Beckford himself to speak out over the incident.

Speaking after footage of the incident, Beckford, 31, said: “It was intended as a goodwill gesture. I assumed it would go to a good home from someone who was able to enjoy the game today. Hopefully, it will find its way back to the kid who caught it.”

The family of eight-year-old Ted, who was attending the game alongside his brother, father and granddad, have since hit out. Commenting on the footage, the boy’s aunt Helen wrote on Facebook: “How can u [sic] steal from an eight-year-old. Football is his life. My nephew is gutted. All he wanted to do is wear that shirt with pride, regardless of value.”

The shirt reportedly appeared for sale on Gumtree at a price of £1,500 after the match, but was later removed after fans filed a complaint to the website.

Preston North End are organising a special treat for young Ted, from Failsworth, Greater Manchester, following the incident. A spokesman for the club said: “If the young man makes himself known to the club, we’ll get Jermaine to present his second Wembley shirt to him.”

On one hand, absolute scum. The fact that she's waiting to "clear the air" only shows that she's hoping to sell her story to a red top for the money she would've got from selling the shirt.

On the other hand, do we ACTUALLY know that this woman stole the shirt? Did she only grab the shirt from the kid because she knew the parents and wanted to ensure that the shirt was safe and not nabbed by someone? It's rumoured that the Gumtree post was a prank, so it could be that this woman has been thrown all over social media and made a pariah when in fact she was trying to be nice to a kid she knew?

Either way, the air needs to be cleared. If the former is true, I hope she is arrested and that the kid gets a treat to help him get over what he's been put through. It's worth remembering that the kid is in the video too, and that moment will be with him forever. if the latter, she needs to speak up now, and donate any fee the reporters give to her to charity.

not quite what I had hoped for, as the evil pair may get away with their bullying tactics, and will for ever be regarded as cowards who preyed on a 8 year old boy on a par with the the horse this one cowardly action
