would be interesting to get an idea of the kind of people making up this board...I think there's quite a mixture.

Where you from, what do you do, and why do you support the Toon?

I'll do a poll for the age groups, probably easiest way to get a good overview - rather than everyone putting their actual date of births etc....general demographics - not a database for ID thieves, haha

I'm from Stenhousemuir in Central Scotland which is 25 mins from both Glasgow and Edinburgh. I currently work as a Document Controller for a small engineerign company, however, I am sick of it and looking to return to a sales role which I done for 5 years. I support the Toon as I fell out of love with Scottish football at a very young age and have some family who support the toon(and technically they are my local team as I have explained that Scottish football doesn't count cos its pish). Once I started I was bitten by the bug and my love for the Toon has been there every since. I try to get down to around 5/6 home games a season, however, once the misses has got a job after uni my season ticket will be getting purchased!!

Where you from? Sunny Forest Hall on the out skirts of the Toon
what do you do? IT Analyst for a large IT company
why do you support the Toon?
My wife is a geordie and when I started seeing her was hanging around and ended up sharing a house with a friend of hers who was also Geordie. He started dragging me down the pub to watch the matches (lived in Nottingham at the time), and the bastard got me hooked.
Now like a drug crazed junkie I have to get my weekly fix of Toon football. Supported them for nearly 20 years now.
You get less time for murder!!!!

The Toon were the local/closest team to where I grew up!

28, financy stuff, Billingham (nr Hartlepool). Dads family all toon fans, took me to my first games when I was 6 or 7, sitting on the concrete barrier things in the Gallowgate so I could see. Sadly missed most of the Keegan all season ticket glory days as my dad worked away so only got to cup games for years. Season ticket holder since I finished uni and actually had some money.

2 - Unemployed / soon to be Game Design student
    3 - See 1

I wish you more luck than I had with my American (ex) girlfriend... She just decided to 'support' Borussia Monchengladbach (didn't know team name or actually follow them) because of a crush on M Bradley...

So, if you're 30, do you select 21-30, or 30-40?
