He won't sell it in the championship. It's worth far less than if we are in the premier league. The only languages he speaks are money and bullshit.
Mike White has been hinting at that all day, but Burnsy simply said Ehab "wouldn't be drawn". Even if it were up for sale, who's gonna buy it?
I've heard some guy called Gerald Ratner is interested, sounds like a potentially great owner who would value the fans.
Assem Allam is owed around £60 million. His only hope of getting it back is promotion to the Premier League so we remain on the big dipper for at least another year, unless the FA agrees the name change and I'll be off.
Same here, it's my 50th anniversary next year anarl - it'll be a shame to miss that but, the name changes and, for me, it's *not the same team* that I fell in love with the first time I saw them all those years ago. If the worse comes to the worst I can forego paying my bit towards the Humber Bridge debt and get my football fix at Winterton Rangers! **Not knocking anyone who can reconcile a possible name change with it's still Hull, black n amber & still at the KC etc ........ it just wouldn't be the same for me.
Hang on a second. We went from: In the opening post of a thread called "Club to pursue idiotic name chance regardless of relegation". Which got the expected responses who have only seen this in this very thread, but reacted in the predictable manner we have come to expect. To only 1 page later... You really are a bunch of gullible ****s. They might sell, they might not, fact is outside of the Allams, no one knows. Pitchforks away lads, you might have your own eye out.
Not sure I follow. The first post was referring to the idiotic name change, the second was referring to the club being up for sale.
Oooh good point. My bad! My excuse is, I'm shattered at the mo. Accept my humble apologies. I'd still like to see something official and not simply hearsay mind.
I hate the name change thing but I think Allam will be pissed off at relegation because he does not now have the status of being a Premier League club owner. For that reason I think he will want to get straight back up and will give Bruce more money if needed.
Well that is a load of bollocks. Just because some of our buys didn't deliver our expectations does not mean money isn't the most important thing in football. Unless you define success as simply making up the numbers and fighting against relegation at the end of the season.
Have you been on the pop? because this is twice on one page you've made yourself look stupid. I said more money does'nt mean more sucess.. We spent a load of money and got relegated.
I assume the point he's making is you can't just throw money at something and expect success (with the possible exception of a Marine Generator business)
More money is likely to mean more success. Why do you think the top 6 are the top 6? Because they're frugal with their spending? Its not just the basic cost of a player, its the wages too. More money = success in football. To deny that is frankly ****ing stupid.
He didn't say that though, or hinted at it. Throwing money is obviously stupid, however, to get the best quality costs money, loads of it. Therefore spending a lot of money is more likely to guarantee success. Obviously there's other factors such as injuries, tactics, luck etc etc but the bottom line is money IS buying success in the PL, look at Man City ffs.
I think a case study of Hull City in the last season would show more money = relegation. My point is, there is much more to football than money, its not the answer to everything.
