Ok ill jump in first the water does seem warm.

    2:20 Goodwood

    Ayrad 4/1

If this is to do anything then should be taking this tomorrow. Flopped on the whole most of last season but was in races far higher calibre wise than this and should put these to bed with the lights left on.

You would never figure that it was a bank holiday weekend looking at the bookmaker-friendly meetings lined up.

In the Silver Bowl at Haydock (2:35), I like Mutasayyid but will not be backing him as his win last time was on quick ground plus it seems that retained jockey Paul Hanagan prefers Mutarakez (it would not be the first time he chose wrongly). In the Temple Stakes at 3:45, I will similarly not be backing Goldream as all his best form is on quick ground; however, I think that Pretend should be laid because his form is not on turf so Hot Streak may repeat last year’s victory.

There seems little point in assessing the Irish 2000 Guineas as there is no reason that Ivawood will reverse form with long odds on Gleneagles and the second-best horse on the ratings, Belardo, may be the one for the forecast. Anything else would need to show enormous improvement to feature.

I am probably asking for trouble selecting two probable favourites at Goodwood:

In the 2:55, Pat Cosgrave can continue his good week with victory on MUFFRI’HA for William Haggas (min. odds 4/1). She just failed to win on her seasonal debut and receives 11lb from Mister Universe, who they hopefully will not allow too much of a lead under Franny Norton.

In the 4:05, the clear form pick is QUEST FOR MORE (min. odds 3/1),who was just touched off by Astronereus at Newmarket last time; and may have most to worry about from Royal Warranty and the awkward Le Maitre Chat.

Fabricate for me at Haydock today. A nice win before he steps up in class.

Martin Lane day for me at Goodwood. 4 interesting rides for this underrated jockey. 4 single win bets.
    2.20 CINNILLA 12-1
    2.55 FELIX LEITER 14-1 (NAP)
    4.05 CONTINUUM 16-1
    5.15 FAST PICK 5-1

Goodwood 2:55 Muffri' Ha 6/1. Much the same reasons as has already been mentioned, unlucky not to win on season debut and is receiving a fair bit of weight from Mister Universe. She also has an entry in next months Coronation Stakes, could be well thought of.

Haydock 3:45 Goldream 15/2. I'm not 100% sold on the ground for this one but still can't get away from him. I backed him LTO when he won at Newmarket and he done it well from the front. I'm not sure it was the best Palace House Stakes he won but that race can usually be a good yardstick for a winner of this race. The other one I like in the race is Danzeno, always runs his race and will go well fresh. The one problem would be that he's best known as a 6f horse, could 5f be a bit sharp for him? I may wimp out nearer the race and stick something on him, but for now it's Goldream.

Going to Haydock today... For the first time.
I do like Seamour in the 2:00 still unexpired and I think he'll run better than he did at York. Mutakarez & Fabricate also. Hot streak ew bet to nothing I believe.

    2:45 Curragh - Jamesie 25/1
    3:20 Curragh - Bellardo 12/1

Both ew. I'm not saying either will win but they aren't without a chance and at the prices are big enough to be playing for a place.

Also like Amazing Maria 7/1 in the 3:55 at The Curragh

Percy Veer sounds a dreadful name but I can't see Stoute's winning the 8.15 at Salisbury.
