http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/arti...-pre-manchester-city-southampton-2466891.aspx Couldn't find where to put this. Fonte talking about the need to focus on what we do. And the same from Koeman. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/arti...-pre-manchester-city-southampton-2467673.aspx

Can we have this as the match thread please. It would be nice for Fran to do the last one of the season. Somebody else can put the team news up.
Quick reminder:- Sunday 24 May 2015 15:00 Man City v Southampton Referee = Chris Foy | Assistants = M McDonough & R Ganfield | 4th Official = P Tierney
So, from the Press Conference, we know that Schneiderlin, Tadić, and Rodriguez are all still out. So I'd go with the same team that started against Villa. Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho could make his debut for City.
probably Super Kelvs 300th and last game for us - a clean sheet and we will have at least the joint best defence of the season and at least 61 points - I'm very excited for Sunday!
and of course Super Mane has a record to break! Man City 0 -3 Saints. ( mane 30 secs, 1 min 20 secs, 2 mins 30 secs)
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...till-a-big-deal-for-southampton-10271494.html Independent article reporting that Koeman says getting in to Europe is a big deal for Saints....unlike Liverpool and Spurs. I know the latter 2 clubs would rather get into the CL, but does that really mean that they don't mind missing out on Europe altogether. So they'd be laughing if they finished 7th and missed out because Villa won the FA Cup...I bet the fans don't think that. Being in the Europa means you finished high enough to qualify...of course teams want that.
My arch enemy (a Spurs fan) really doesn't want to be in the Europa league - will ruin their chances of Champions league next year - deluded!
The strange thing is that I can't imagine Spurs getting into the CL any time soon...and yet I can see Saints doing it. All this positivity from the club certainly rubs off, doesn't it?
Spurs don't need any help spoiling their chances of failing to qualify for the CL. They can manage it all on their own. Especially when all their so-called star players want to push off and nobody wants to go to them. They have no vision, they have no spirit. The are cursed with short-termism.
It would be nice to grab 5th/6th spot, and thus allow Spurs to slip into 7th and thus avoid the Europa... ...for all of about five seconds before their much-better rivals Arsenal go and sink them back into it.
It's nice to see Saints involved in the final day madness. Got three screens all set up and ready to go for the battle for 5th and 6th place!
