But "provincial club", are you having that?

If the cheeky **** thinks we're on par with Bolton, Burnley, Bury, Oldham etc it doesn't look good for his opinion of Egerton's stature.

I am not saying that there isn't a relevance to cost, but its all relative.
United paid the most because they can afford the most and so they can.......
What a club, especially United, pay for a player, doesnt reflect their true worth.
They paid £33m for Luke Shaw ffs <laugh>

If you think he was talking specifically Spurs' situation, there's no reason any other club should be in the same situation.

If you think he was speaking generally then that includes Liverpool.

Pick one story you #bitter doublespeaking **** <ok>

Liverpool should start by employing the Southampton staff who negotiated the prices for their players. Would go a long way to make up for our poor showings in selling players at a profit. Its criminal that we sell most players for next to nothing with the odd exception.

Except spurs stole them from Southampton much to the annoyance of Koeman

Are you being deliberately obtuse or are you really that ****ing stupid?

He said that spending £100m in one window should see a club challenging for the title.

When asked a year later about his own £117m one window spend, he said that Flanno was injured so 5th was mustard <laugh>

It was part of his popcorning, same as intimating that Manchester was a venue for a proper night out where you could avoid the chavs.

His tongue was firmly in his cheek.

Thing is mate, Liverpool's always been different and we were it like a badge of honour. While Manchester has been forward thinking and had good town planners and things like the velodrome built there attracting national attention, Liverpool has been left behind busy playing catch up now. The upshot [?] is scousers are close knit.
