Lots of locking up today from most people, too cold for the softs. Rosbergs seeming pretty twitchy which isn't ideal for my race prediction!
Rain is such a spoil sport. It's not like we race in race these days, that's what red flags are for... please log in to view this image
I know the question has always been when will Pastor crash but shouldn't it now be who will crash into him? I feel like the only Pastor fan outside Venezuela
I'm a fan of him, which is why I stick up for him as he's done absolutely nothing wrong this year. His terrible luck is the only thing costing him points! He's often great around Monaco (2011 he would have beaten Barrichello's point score in Monaco alone before Hamilton crashed into him) but nothing ever seems to go his way!
He is the epitome of the phrase "you make your own luck". Years of him being the perpetrator are catching up with him this year, when as you rightly say, he is doing little wrong!
Sainz was also strong though, so I wonder if his headline grabbing FP1 lap wasn't just to do with circumstances on track.
Phew, I feel slightly less of a freak now, I think. Yes, 2011, I thought that one might rear its ugly head... Anyway, moving on swiftly, his luck has to change sooner or later, I'd like to think it will be this weekend. It is ironic that a driver with a reputation for not being able to keep his car on the track should have a gift for the tightest, most obstacle-strewn circuit on the calendar; but that's the thing about reputations, they don't tell the whole truth.
Jon Noble@NobleF1 Interesting that parts of Tabac are being resurfaced right now. Worth keeping an eye out on over weekend Why do this now?
To be fair I like Maldonado too, he's just too easy to pick on with his Crashtor rep, even if he has been blameless in most of his incidents this season.
Presumably the tarmac in Tabac* was beginning to break up, and there's no running until Saturday morning now so it makes sense to deal with it now rather than risk it getting worse. *That sounds like the start of a tongue twister. The Tabac tarmac tripped up Tarquini's trabant? I'm struggling.
Oh dear... anyways, despite all the parties for the F1 guys tomorrow there is supposed to be racing on for GP2, FR3.5 and the Porsches. Better have some quick drying tarmac!
Wow did not realise BBC wasn't showing the monaco GP this year. tbf its the most boring race usually.
