Low shot? Of course you need someone to implement it, but we have had three or four good managers able to do that. Les Reed may have a footballing mastermind, but not the skills to implement with the players. Of course Adkins deserves a shot at a decent job, I never suggested otherwise. I just made the point that our style of play was not necessarily put in by Nigel, as you hinted at in your post
I didn't hint, I shouted it! To be honest it didn't cross my mind that it was Les' style. I suspect it was a mix of both, you can't do something you don't believe in. Anyway, reading that stuff about Adkins raised my respect for him to an even higher level than it was before (if thats possible). It just shows how hard English managers, without a successful playing career behind them, have to work to even get a job.
Yes, I'll agree. It's tough if you're not a "name" Adkins is a man who simply loves football and can't get enough knowledge on it. He seems to be soaking up information wherever he goes. I think he needs to choose his next job carefully based in the type of club, owner and vision, rather than where that club currently is. MK Dons is the type (not size) of club that would be good for him. It'll be interesting to see what happens to Karl Robinson if they have a good season in the Championship. Future Liverpool manager there. I still think he'd be excellent for Brentford.

I decided to flick through their listen again facility. You're quite right, truly awful. I shall be having words with that person. Anyway, he spent about 30 seconds talking with Aidy Boothroyd about the U20s and how Saints get their kids developed upto 1st team level. It was missable stuff, I promise you.
