I mi had similar thing few months ago, just woke up and couldn't put any pressure on my foot but within about a day or two was near enough back to normal. I was a man and didn't go to drs so no idea what it was but proper strange... Just stuck some ibuprofen gel on it
They suspected he'd broke the fifth metatarsal. Is that small a bone they would necessarily see a small fracture, I'm guessing that's why they said it might not show for the first twelve days; if there is a fracture then it will probably (but not definitely) break art some point. I'd have just carried on as normal, have done several times before including still playing football lol Can't really do that with a five year old though.
Didnt actually imply that part however saying that, one of my mates had a bouncy castle in his garden for his birthday a couple of years ago. bbq, beers and bouncy castle - highly recommend for a good laugh!
