Okay everybody, what is good about the squad, what areas need improvement and what changes should we make?

We are losing Wildig, JLAA and Mangan gave been offered new contracts, as has Clark. Grandison is mulling over his options and something odd about the budget according to MM. Woods, Goldson and possibly a couple of others might get interest from other clubs and we have some players who're probably on a good wage who didn't feature much last season.

So what are your opinions on the future shape of the squad ready for a fresh start in League One.

We are likely to lose Goldson and Woods so there will be some wages freed up there. Difficult to see Vernon and Vincent getting much/any game time in League 1 so perhaps they will move on. Grandison always wants to drive a hard bargain and no doubt will attract interest from other clubs bit I hope we do not lose him. We need a box to box centre midfielder (Max Power?) who is a goal threat and some cover at wing-back (how about Sadler coming back?). I would be happy with Schumacher or Perkins coming in and we could get Grant permanently (he is talented but I worry about his lack of consistency). Hopefully our strikers will be good enough. We should be much stronger all over the pitch than the last time we were in League 1 and it would be really disappointing if we were to struggle.

Watching the League One Play Offs, we are definitely lacking in pace by comparison.

Pace in central midfield is certainly needed as a viable option for our squad. Gayle seems to be able to flow along the wings but needs confidence to attack more and linking up/positional with players.

Sadler signed on a two-year deal - happy with that - a very reliable and fit player.

Jordan Clark signed a new contract. Always thought he had potential and he will flourish in League One.

Happy with Clark signing up - I think League 1 will suit him more than League 2 and he has pace and a touch of class.

How many of these might we possibly see in our squad next season? Some seem to think Perkins, but at his age is he worth it?

Apparently one of our top targets and a creative player - we certainly need better delivery from wide areas as we have some strikers who could take advantage of that. It seems we are in for a much quieter summer on the transfer front than last year though I am surprised there seems to have been little interest from other clubs in Goldson and Ryan Woods - it would be great if we could keep them both. Also Weso and NKP coming back will give the squad a huge boost.

He would be a good signing but I suspect he is unlikely to join us - do the recent signings and rumours mean we are abandoning 3-5-2?

Dagenham captain Abu Agogo brought in on a two year deal - has played right back but brought in as a centre mid. A decent League 2 player with experience (of relegation!) of League 1- he is more of a box to box athletic type and a good tackler. We look well stocked in midfield with Weso returning and assuming Ryan Woods is staying. Thoughts anyone?

I must admit that I didn't know him and some stats disappoint - 5'8" tall. However he appears to be seen in good regard amongst their fans and was being looked at by Luton and Preston.

Town have possibly made another signing with the pie idol event showing Wright's pies to be the most popular!

Ashley Vincent moves on. Quite liked him and obviously he didnt fit into mms plans. Good luck in finding a new squad in a good position.

I agree Matster - I thought he played well at times when he came on but clearly the wing-back system did for him. Interesting that B and A is full of rumours about a winger coming in to replace him (news confirmed by Radio Shropshire but no name). Many ex-Blackpool or ex-Barnsley players mentioned. Also the admittedly unreliable Football Rumours site says Lawson D'ath may be signing - does he qualify as a winger? The lad clearly has ability but will be remembered as a wind-up merchant judging by his performance against us at the Meadow. Incidentally I was a bit sad to see Leon Clarke sign for Bury - would have been good for us but I suppose we have a full complement of strikers at the moment.
