Does anyone know if we hve to pay his wages through his suspension? I know we can fine him up to two weeks wages but I don't know if cases such as these have more leniency.

I can't see this going down well with Mr. Allam. He'll probably never play for us again.

Club statement "Following suspension by the FA, the Club has subsequently suspended Jake Livermore pending further investigations to be made by the FA and our own internal disciplinary procedures. The Club is unable to make any further comment during this process."

Dunno, but it's obviously misconduct, so we should be able to get out of some of it at least.

Let's hope his pal Huddlestone hasn't been on it as well. Surely he would have known what Livermore was doing at least.

Bruce insisted on playing players well below par so I think the joke's on him.

He'll be suspended on full pay until his disciplinary hearing is held. If he admits to what appears to be factual evidence, then I'd have thought they could dismiss him for gross misconduct and then sue him for the transfer fee. The alternative will be rehabilitation but I'd have thought he'd have to forgoe his wages for the period of that, plus whatever FA ban he gets.

What's he on £30-40K per week? ****ing idiot.

If it's anything like a standard employment contract he would be in violation and probably suspended without pay. However, knowing some football contracts I wouldn't be surprised of a clause over something like 'in the event of misconduct' blah blah blah

There are FA or PL rules regarding fines etc. the normal maximum fine is two weeks but I don't know if this sort of case is different. It's not to do with contract clauses.

Looks like I will have to take my club calendar down in July, don't want his ugly mug watching me when I'm eating breakfast every day

It's difficult obviously as no doubt he will have the PFA in his corner over wages and contracts. If I remember correct Adam Johnson was suspended without pay but I may be mistaken

If this sort of thing is proven it should be automatic dismissal and the player has to pay back their transfer fee. In reality I bet it doesn't happen.. We could well have seen his last game for us and I bet we don't get a penny back.

I'm a teacher, don't insult my profession. Judging by your attitude I'd say I have more intelligence in my finger end than you do in the empty space between your ears.

    ****ing gomer.

Really? Got my fingers crossed here that neither of them play for us again.

Bruce has a big problem in that dressing room - the eyes and ears of Alex have been useless. This is something Allam will do properly, let the dogs loose.

Won't be a big miss as far as I'm concerned. He's been really poor all season and no wonder if he's been high half the time!

Agreed, very worrying. That said I'd have the full squad tested now!!! What a ****ing idiot, no sympathy whatsoever.

I don't know how SB is going to motivate the team tomorrow.

I can imagine they'll all be deflated.

    Terrible timing.

It seems that the six month ban limit is for those testing positive out of season, during the season it's up to two years, so he might well be sacked.

I will take it we will still have to cough up the balance of the transfer to spurs.
