Sunderland Vs Leicester City Official Sunderland Not606 Match Thread please log in to view this image Stadium Of Light please log in to view this image Preview Sunderland and Leicester could both guarantee their survival with victory at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. The Black Cats have climbed away from the Premier League relegation zone in recent weeks with back-to-back victories over Southampton and Everton. If they make it three in a row against Leicester and Hull fail to win at Tottenham Hotspur, then Dick Advocaat's side will be assured of avoiding the drop. Similarly, victory for Leicester on Wearside coupled with a draw or Spurs win at White Hart Lane would ensure the Foxes' top-flight status for next season after an impressive run of results. Only Chelsea have beaten Leicester in the past two months as they have won six of their last seven matches to pull clear of the drop. Top work again mate. Both sides confident. Both sides everything to play for. So much depending on this. Nervous wreck time.
Dear me, thank the lord that it's almost the end of the season and we only have 2 more of these shyte threads to suffer A dyslexic blind man wearing boxing gloves could come up with better than this ffs. Heaven's knows what visitors to this board must think, it's afucking disgrace and no mistake.
its on setanta ireland sports for anyone who cant make this game Id imagine pubs would be showing it, especially a pub with an irish connection
I think this is a draw but gone optimistic and went win like I always do I think this is going to be a cracking game.
Think we will pinch it, as the player will believe in themselves, a chronic issue all season pre-Dick (jesus man, it never gets easier to use that name, does it....). Leicester will stay up with us and they absolutely deserve to, they've been nowhere near a bottom 3 team all season, play some decent stuff, just, a bit like ourselves, lacked a finisher. We got a finisher but still had no ****er to give him chances. No way will Newcastle and Hull both get the points to ctach the Foxes so a 2-0 Sunderland win and actually, we should have quite a jovial atmosphere, Leicester fans are usually alright but low in numbers, I'd imagine they fetch a good size contingent tomorrow for a near sell out. Gan to me ma's before the game for a fry up, meet the lads, secure top flight status, then probably get smashed and go raving. Ideal. 2-0 the Lads. Connor & Defoe. Both teams (more or less) safe as Hull lose at Spurs.
I can't wait for this match and will be staying up for the weekend. Leicester remind me of the German advance on Stalingrad ..... .........they've had a good run but they've become overconfident and their reserves are stretched. Their commanding officer is showing signs of madness and never looks far from a cyanide pill. There won't be many goals in this and Sunderland are settling into their system. Another tight win for Sunderland and a 45,000 crowd celebrating as Hull go down ........ Haway the Lads!!!!!!!!!
Great effort as usual Bri - it's gonna be nervous but I think we'll edge it 2-1, Hull will get beat with Spurs performing well at home and the mags will fall victim to a pressure-free QPR and we can relax for the final 2. Well, you've got to dream a little
I would more than settle for a draw and a Hull defeat if given it now! It wont mean safety but will mean Hull need to beat Man U to stand any chance.
For anybody who can't make it tomorrow, one of the Yank channels are showing three games in one tomorrow, would be a good 2nd window match to watch on mute while you stream the main match. I won't be here but if anyone does find the link please do share it with the board.
FD - it is Nugent who is likely to be out - had a scan this week, and King possibly available - been training for a week now. Oh - and it was me that voted a Leicester win, so no traitors in the camp. Its going to be very tight, but think we might just scrape it with our pace going forward. No doubt Wickham will score against us (again) but have gone 2-1 for Citeh. We havent had a penalty for a while, and have that feeling that Vardy might just win one that we feel is justified and you guys will be upset with. Good luck in your final game. Had some good times in Sunderland, staying at the Roker Hotel on the seafront. Personally hope that Newcastle or Hull go down.
What's the general consensus, do we want the Toon gone (and a 6 point handicap next season), or 'Ull?
Blame Sky. Do you have a link to more accurate team news for Leicester? I'll happily emend it if you can provide a link.
