  5. I was taking the piss with that comment but there could be something in it. Obviously, it can't be a indestructible role but what about a role that is too powerful to be killed by one player? Therefore the only way they die is if the town decide to lynch them (act together to overpower them). You could safely claim to have that role without the risk of being assassinated but obviously others could claim to have that role too. The Mafia (or whoever) would have to convince the town to lynch them.

    I'll look back but indestructible robots if that's what it is isn't great

    My sneak preview is this. ...

    Certain roles will get a pre game choice of power to have. The rule will state the possible choice but people won't know what the pick was

    There will be a mafia team. They will have one power to use (kill) there will be no recruit

    There will be a role that only activates when the player dies. They will not know until they do die. It will be like an avenging angel.

    There will be a vampire finally in this game. that will be one player at start who grows

    I have decided that numbers signed up will decide town roles. This will be random pick

    Lastly first to be lynched gets to play as stumpy. This means they have no vote but stay aligned to their team and get to talk. Nobody else gets to talk after death this time. One I'm dead post then it's the delete button

    There must be lynch each night etc etc

    Set up would be along the lines of what I proposed at the end of Mafia 5:

    Start with one super zombie who can bite people but those people start as 'infected' who can't infect others. They just join the zombie team. But if they are lynched, then 24 hours afterwards they rise up as zombies and start biting more people.

    First couple of people to be lynched also have a coin flip chance of being infected, so no one is out of it on day 1. If the super zombie gets lynched then they become a normal zombie, thus have to be killed by headshot.

    A zombie can only be killed by a headshot, so they have to be targeted by cop, vigilante and Mafia goon. Either or all of those three can choose to hunt a specific zombie, with a coin flip chance of finding and killing it. But if any of those chooses to hunt a zombie on one day, that is all they can do that day. So cop can't lock anyone up, vigilante can't try to kill Mafia, and goon can't try to kill town.

    Also, the goon has limited bullets, and the only way they can get more is to try and raid the police station. So if the cop goes zombie hunting there's a chance he will let the Mafia get more bullets, but if the Mafia raid the police station when the cop is there then they may be killed. Similar mechanic for the vigilante, but they risk being identified and lose their powers instead of being shot.

    Also if a zombie bites a Mafia then they stay Mafia, and have to try to find and kill the super zombie to cure themselves. If they get lynched then they are on the zombie team.

    So:
    - There's no more "just lynch them and see", as that may create a zombie
    - Infected would be trying to act suspicious to get themselves lynched
    - Zombie side can snowball quite rapidly if infected get lynched, so need to be kept under control, but either side (town or Mafia) who chooses to chase zombies risks the other side getting an advantage
    - Vigilante and Mafia goon have to balance hunting each other vs hunting zombies
    - Zombies can throw accusations around without fear of being lynched themselves
    - If an infected Mafioso comes under suspicion, other Mafia may have to sacrifice themselves to prevent creating another zombie

    Any input into improvements or glaring cock ups which will ruin the game is welcome <ok>

    If the super zombie can bite every night, but a zombie kill isn't guaranteed every night doesn't eveyone end up zombie?

    yes you have to run the scenario a couple times just by listing what might happen.

    the super zombie = fine

    lynching a zombie should just rip its head off and kill it

    if someone kills a zombie and it rises again then its a bit obvious who it is no? I don't know of course.

    its up to you.

    the premise is each team is against the clock if its too hard to kill the zombies off expect by luck at the start hitting super zombie then time is their friend.

    so run it like this

    10 players, 2 mafia, 1 zombie = 7 v 2 v 1

    day 2 it could be 9 players or 8 and it could be 5 v 2 v 2 for example

    day 3 it could end up 3 v 2 v 3 and in that case the zombies win day 3.

    and so forth.

    I get what you are saying with the premise of forcing people to try and find the zombie or the mafia and they can't just lynch anyone or they might rise.

    once possibility is having a limit on biters.
