Les has appointed one of his old mates..... Ex Spurs Goalkeeping coach http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/perry-suckling-qpr-academy-les-ferdinand-2454127.aspx
Great comments by Les. Peregrine Smallpig's greatest attribute seems to be his timekeeping. I like this talk of the 'philosophy'. Give us a clue what the philosophy is Les, go on, go on, go on, go on..........will all teams at the club be playing kick and run? Tika taka? Hoofball? 4-3-3? 4-1-3-1? Or is our philiosophy existential nihilism, in which case we are implementing it perfectly already.
What sort of welcome is that Sylvio?! F me - Culture at our Club? Dave Mac does have a point or 3. Welcome Perry- Good luck mate.
When the Board look to sign new faces as manager and/or director of football they should not only look at the person who wants the job but also at all his mates that are likely to get employed off the back of him. This smacks of a "give your mate a job" signing. We should be signing someone who has at least performed a similar role for a while.
Did you read Les' comments? I like Perry because he's first To arrive and last to leave. Nothing on what he has achieved, nothing on what his objectives are. Plus he has a funny name. He might be great, who knows.
Jesus, is there anything that doesn't get ripped to shreds and moaned about here! How about giving the guy a chance?
Guess what? no, and as you love to preach, it's all about opinions. Guess what? at this moment in time it would probably be judicious to make sure every announcement is made with the utmost professionalism IMO this statement smacks of: Absolute nepotism - lazy recruitment at it's worst, it's rife in football we know, but we are told TF has learnt his lessons. Poor understanding of how to introduce a new employee - you might like to inform a little more than the successful candidate knows how to arrive early but doesn't know when to leave. If I had introduced my two new senior members of staff in that way this week - (both female in a predominant male industry) - I'd be setting a pretty awful scene. All in all, this implies to me that we are inept, have been and continue to be so, remember, this lazy introduction is from a man who has just presided over an embarrassing basic administrative blunder secluding a 10M GBP + wages investment from performing his basic task for the club.
You're getting way too involved, over reacting and over thinking all this!....How does this affect you precisely eh? Anyone would think it's your little business that has just introduced a new employee. I'd stick to running your own business and let QPR run theirs. Hilarious!!! Guess what? That's just my opinion.
F*ck me sideways! One of my old golfing partners from the late 80s. A mate of mine was a steward at Palace and we used to play golf at Falconwood with Perry and John Salako before they were in the Palace first team. I hope his coaching is better than his golf!...
I have nothing against the man - despite the fact that he sounds like a child so bereft of mother's milk that he's taken to apple bobbing for nutrition - and wish him well. Les doesn't seem to have a huge network but Spurs have done better than we have in many departments so it might work out well - I hope so anyway.
I read it, and see all the reasons for scepticism. But also as someone else mentions Spurs have a good record with their kids. Whatever, I think any new Ranger deserved a welcome, good wishes and a chance at least before he is slagged off. Les too.
Fair enough Ossie, I'm just getting my disappointment in early. Now we have a rookie DoF, a rookie manager, and a rookie academy manager. Spurs may have a good record with kids, but they buy their goalkeepers (who Perry coached) from abroad.
