I think he plans to build a new stadium (getting the Labia party - well it's shorter - to massively subsidise it). Once it's built, he will sell Hull City Tigers Ltd to Hull Tigers Ltd (owned by Ehab - although Ehab will use a proxy as Assem rejected his first offer). Or maybe not.

He should shorten it to Silly ****.

He's been called Assem Allam Silly **** from birth.

I'm not suggesting he gets rid of 'Silly' or '****'. I'd never do that. But in business, you'll get nowhere with a name like 'Assem Allam Silly ****'. In marketing theory, the shorter the name the better. My issue with 'Allam' is that it is irrelevant. 'Allam' is a lousy identity.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this

I know we aren't supposed to discuss politics - but wherever you stand on the politics of this country, surely there is only one person who seriously believes that the reason David Cameron has a majority is because Labour's name is not popular enough.

Is there a form of OCD that deals with names?

Be cautious how you merge their names - it could kick off! <yikes>

Despite your all-consuming hatred of all things Allam, would you really prefer him to sell the club to, say, a Martin Fish, a David Lloyd or a Russell Bartlett? Perhaps there' s a case of "better the devil you know?"

First of all I think Assem Allam wants to sell us to a good home. If he sells us to a bad home he will be no better than Adam Pearson in his eyes.

Secondly he makes a number of serious points about the Labour Party that have been also been made by Alan Sugar and David Miliband. I don't see many people complaining about their mental health. Tony Blair wanted to change the name of the Labour Party but felt that was a step too far.

There is a concerted effort to move the Labour Party closer, politically, to the Tories and Assem Allam is a serious part of that.

It is easy to see what he says through jaundiced eyes because of what we have been through but that would be a mistake in my personal opinion. Today was another part of a concerted campaign to make sure Labour's next leader is another pale pink Tory.

Are you still willing to allow this man to change our name when he says as soon as he sells the club he will not set foot in the stadium again?
And bear in mind he is now suggesting the Labour party change their name . . . .

So answers please, all you "yes men". Are you still happy to let him change our name?

He isn't a football fan so why would he step back in the stadium if he sold up? No need to be so precious about that statement.

Sorry to disappoint but the name simply is not important to me. It can change or it can stay the same, I don't care. What I care about is my club in my city. The name would not affect how I feel about the club I've been going to since the 60s and the team I've supported since then. The name is irrelevant to me.

If he stays and if he wants to change the name that s fine with me.

If he sells and the name stays the same that is also fine with although I'd be sad we'd lost a great owner thanks to a small noisy minority who fear any change.

Allam just wants to weaker the unions hold over the labour party otherwise they will never get back in number 10.

happy tiger - the name is irrelevant to me
The name should be something you are so proud of you think of it all the time
I support HULL CITY, a mantra you have said all your life.
As a child I had it written on my school books and fake diy tattoos all over my arms and I wore the badges and stared at the programs, drew the club crest, everything was about Hull City.
The name Is important and you know it. It is our club. Yours and mine. And our fathers and our sons and their sons and we must not allow one stubborn fool with an agenda and nothing more, to change it.
Just think of all the hassle trying to change it back should it change.
Ok happy tiger I will rephrase the question if I may.
Do you think Mr Allam is sincere enough in his reasons for the name change and should he be allowed to change it despite the fans (who he mostly despises) not wanting it?
    yes or no.

More bullshit just to get his name in the news.

Now he claims he's turned down 3 offers, well I can't believe that not one of them wouldn't come out and say we want to buy Hull City but the owner won't sell it to us.
Same as his Hull Tiger sponsor, a figment of his imagination.
