sky have ruined our first week back in the premier league, fans all around the world will be tuneing in to watch match of the day and we'll be nowhere to be seen thanks to sky, all the big games with closer travel to pick from, and poxy sky make us travel to manchester on a monday night.
we won't get any extra for it, we get a basic package(which is around 30+million) then more depending on what position we finish, i think.
Welcome to life in the premier league. It has been rumoured our opening game would be played on the Monday night but no matter what I'll be there despite the fact I'm working on the tuesday morning. Think we must embrace these prem games no matter when they're played, infact the delay for our first one gives us a bit more preparation time seeing as we're a week behind most of the other teams because of our play off final game being played right at the end of May. The other matches moved so far should have little effect on most of our fans plans, the Man U teatime kick off always looked probable whilst the earlier ko at Wolves and our home change for the Villa game shouldn't cause too many difficulties.
Happy with that, I'll be on holidays so be able to pop into a local hostelry for a couple of jars!!!!!
Quality news for me! Living away, and working 8-7ish every day saturday would've been a no-go, but now I definitely, 100%, absolutely positively will watch the Swans first game in the Premier League. ****ing result.
Why not, celebrating our return to the big league. Can't say I'm going to be able to make it to many away games if any as I haven'y got one of those membership scheme thingys so I think it is going to be the TV for me (like most ManU fans) haha
I had to pay for me and my son for the Jack membership, otherwise it would have TV for me as well. Just hope to get to see some live games after paying out just to try and get tickets.
i dont care what day we play on, we have to expect that now we are a premiership team and there will be more games during the season that will change to mid week......
And playing at non-traditional times and days means that our game may be the only Premiership match that particular day so more media coverage for us.
No they haven't ruined it, in fact for most of us unlikely to get tickets the chance to watch us live in the pub with hundreds of other Swans fans is pretty good I'd say.
