    Similar to the Lambert deal last season in a way. An ageing player who is worth a lot more to the club he is at than what his market value is, only way I can see it happen is if Fonte really wants the move.

    How crazy? TBH I could understand him possibly wanting to leave if there was serious interest from one of the top clubs as it almost certainly would be his last (only) opportunity at that sort of move.

    In terms of for us though he is pretty irreplaceable given what he stands for at Saints.

    I think I'd be more upset at Fonte going than Clyne or even Morgan. He is one of the last remaining survivors of League One, and even £10 million wouldn't be enough to replace the spirit he brings to the team. Plus he is a bloody good CB.
