I have watched the Swans since 1953 and the best win I witnessed was our win against eventual League Champions Liverpool in the FA Cup in the the 60 s but tonight's win surpassed that. Garry you ARE the best!
Huge huge win. It shows that the style of play was no flash in the pan, not a one-off, it is a carefully thought out strategy to ensure that we have best chance of winning come the end of each and every game. Every now and again you may take a tonking if you catch a top team in imperious form (Liverpool/Chelsea this season), but we used to take tonkings under Rodgers and Laudrup too remember. We dominate the ball against teams that we know we can, we compete against teams of similar ability, and we allow/contain teams who are better than us. Three very different styles of play, Plan A/B/C if you like. Great to see, and great to see that the players are on board with it and commit to the system. Without player commitment to go with the tactics, tonight could have been similar to the City vs QPR match yesterday.
