Sulky sullen twat, he should be old and experienced enough to accept the banter and the ovation with good grace.

You say he should accept the banter... Yet he can't give some back?

was hardly much of an ovation, a few of the Chelsea fans clapped, Sky made it seem like the whole place stood up clapped and chanted his name in unison which can isn't quite what happened <laugh>

Good result (in theory), but rodgers hasn't a clue what he's doing. He should be sacked

Harsh on Can IMO - he was often double teamed so there wasn't a lot else he could have done. But what impressed me is the way he takes control and drives the team forward by joining the midfield. Sooner we get him in the midfield, the better. The number of times of Chelsea seemed to be through to our defence was embarrassing considering they were only playing in 2nd gear.

I think everyone knows that I'm not a Lallana fan but he did have a positive 2nd (around 25 mins before taken off).

Lovren was 'average' which is an improvement. However, we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that he's still not good enough, and that he shouldn't be praised for simply 'not f*cking up'.

As funny as lovren has been and how much of a chuckle he has given me, this rating of yours for lovren in this particular match is biased and unneutral. Because hes been bad pretty much all year you have assumed he has had an average game.

He didnt not just **** up but he was fairly solid all game which is what you would expect from a defender. Unless you want lovren to be all singing and all dancing and scoring goals he had a good performance. Thats not too say he is a good player or that hes not anything but average but anyone can have a good game and in thia one he did.

I agree cut the lad some slack. He is the focal point of the frustration as is badontelly but at least he's tried a leg and is trying to contribute now. He was reasonable yesterday.

You all know I don't rate skertl as top 4. well this lad aint top 4 either but he's not that bad as some make out.

Basically he's a guy that if you give him a partner who will sweep up behind him he can go attack the ball like the lump he is... sort of like john terry was when carvahlo spared his blushes

the fact is LFC had more problems on the right side with hazard than we did form willian's all energy approach onthe other side. Can was badly let down by the system and thats why our entire right side had yellow cards.

It says it all that while lovern isn't the best at least he is not bench warming with moreno who seemingly can't defend at all.

The only issue we should have is with the purchase being said to be an organiser which is why everyone is on his back.

The guy is another shako really. wants to go attack stuff and move up the pitch not drop off. Once again another player rodgers can't get anyhting out of cos he bought them but hasn't a clue how to use them with that he already has.

Lovern has been brilliant since Sakho got injured and it is because his earlier performances were dire there is a lingering feeling that he is on a short purple perch. Mignolet suffered the same and now is more convincing.

He needs to do it for a few months consistently for some fans to forget his earlier indiscretions

He can only do his best.

I feel he's blamed for something he did not do himself.

Example is last second 40 yard clearance he did for villa in cup final.... thats the blame for the entire game right there.. never mind the rest of the players lets kick the guy we don't like

The reality is he's an above average player we signed for way too much but thats not his fault and either we take a bath on him now or we try to make use of him... and i can tell you other managers could easily make use of him in this league

In the end he's doing far more than balotelli can.... for me badontelly's taken the wrong attitude every time he has taken the field. this head down no expression **** is no good. He should be smiling on the pitch and he clearly feels the need to play this half way game betwee nthe barge people over crap he used to play and proper football to fit in and it doesn't work.

The state of what he's delivered is therefore badly affected. .... what lovern's done is gone back to his basics which is going forward on the front foot and challenging people.

Some good points in this <ok>

I actually think Lovren will settle next season and play an important role.

He isn't a terrible defender, he just let the pressure get to him when things weren't going his way and when you are thinking about that in a role that is highlighted massively when a mistake is made, those mistakes will keep happening!

Seems to have got his head out of that now.

  11. We've always had fall guys and its something I've mentioned several times before. It doesn't matter how these player perform, they're to blame.

    true that.

just like flanagan is the saint that can do no wrong cos he is on treatment table... unlike sturrdige who made the terrible mistake of actually returning.

His post match interview was a peach

Chelsea bought 3 first teamers and you lost Suarez and Sturridge and Flannagan got injured..........

Ah bless, that's a real shame - but what about the £117m you spent Brendan?

The man is a plant pot

His passing is what let him down yesterday. Few times he seemed to panick on the ball and just whack it long, he made skrtel look composed.

I I guess better that than just **** it up at the back but hopefully as his confidence grows he'll get used to being more composed and making short passes under pressure instead of just hoofing it. Can see a huge difference between him and sakho when it comes to ball playing though, sakho just oozes class in that respect.

It's amazing how hardly anyone mentions Lovren's ability on the ball, but are quick to pick up on Sakho...

But anyways - Lovren didn't have a good game. He's been 'average' at best since he's back in the side. This always happens - when a player performs so poorly for a period of time, and doesn't f*ck up, then we all lavish praise.

He's still not good enough for this club, never was and never will be. You only have to look at the difference since Sakho has been injured.

And Skrtel was good yday but I still don't rate him. He is prone to making stupid decisions in every game.
