It's only pretend don't worry, I'd be happy with Bruce staying if he goes away during the summer and gets us a style of play/system and plays players in that system in the right positions.

Prefer SB to stay over anyone on that list. If we go down I have no doubts he could lead us back up again. If SB chose to resign I would hope Allardyce would come here. Football wouldn't be pretty but he would get us back to the PL and maybe even keep us up for more than 2 years. Having said all of that we aren't down yet and maybe SB has one more trick up his sleeve?

Frankly, I couldn't care less about the style of play. Winning games and winning promotion is what matters.

I'm not so sure allardyce would need to drop into the championship for a job

But if we'd have had one this season and players played in their correct positions maybe we wouldn't need to worry about getting relegated/promoted

Things have been so bad, in terms of injuries, that players have had to play out of position.

Aluko was upfront yesterday. We had Jelly and Hernandez on the bench.

Bruce obviously knows the players better than we do. There must have been a reason for playing players out of position Maybe they have played there brfore, or requested to play there?

Jelavic obviously wasn't fit enough to start, and Aluko is better than Hernandez.

All about opinions. I would see a 25% fit Jelevic play over Aluko. I agree Hernandez has been a flop.

I think Bruce has learnt by his mistakes; not risking players is they aren't 100% fit.

Huddlestones to deep, Elmo at rb. Admittedly Bruce knows the players better but surely he can see they don't work

Huddlestone, fair enough. But Elmo started his career as a RB and, I think, played a lot at RB for Sunderland too.

And Sunderland struggled that's why Bruce got the sack. It's obvious to me and I'm sure Bruce knows better but if we are playing with a rb it's got to be Rosie. Elmo carnt defend and let's his runner go.

Don't buy that. Yesterday's substitution that saw Mcshane go off and Jela come on left us with Elmo and Brady in a flat back 4 not knowing whether to go forward or not. They are both wing backs not full backs and that single substitution nullified the attacking threat they carried. If as a club we recognise that our best system is 3-5-2, then why switch to a 4-3-3 (or whatever we were supposed to be in the last half hour yesterday)? Seemed to me we just threw forwards on hoping for a lucky break rather than sticking to a system we believe in.

Agreed, the strange thing was brady was the only one getting at burnley and his crosses were the only ball we got into the box. So we put 4 strikers on then the only one who was supplying the service we put at lb

Agree, he shouldn't have changed the system.

I'd rather stick pins in my eyes. Southgate? Really? I think you'll find he'll never stick his, frankly, ugly mug over the league management parapet again, not forgetting that he was utter ****e the last time, now that the FA Blazers have accepted him into their protective fold.
