Best Driver: Bottas great quali and very good race again holding a ferrari up like in bahrain Worst Driver: Hamilton, struggled with set up all weekend, struggled in qualifying, made a poor start losing any chance of the win, unable to pass vettel on track Best Rookie (Nasr, Verstappen, Sainz): Sainz Jnr > any imaginary god Best Team: Mercedes, out developed Ferrari Worst Team: Red Bull again Best Overtake: Kimi at the start Funniest-moment: When Sky F1 ended Most Surprising Result: Toro Rosso in qualifying Least Surprising Result: Mercedes 1-2 Special Mention to: Race Rating: 5/10
Best Driver: Rosberg, just what he needed, very controlled race Worst Driver: For the first time ever i don't actually know. Relatively speaking everyone finished in and around their team mates and no one seemed to have a mare of a weekend... If I picked I'd be picking for the sake of it. Best Rookie (Nasr, Verstappen, Sainz): Sainz but that last lap overtake was a bit iffy! Best Team: Mercedes Worst Team: Sauber seem to have gone backwards fast, Force India still dire. Stick with Sauber Best Overtake: Anyone who made a pass stick at this track! Funniest-moment: That poor Lotus mechanic taking it like a man afterwards in the garage. Glad he's ok! Most Surprising Result: STRs on it Least Surprising Result: ...guess Special Mention to: Most of the grid really, looking at the results paints a strong image of the current car standings Race Rating: 3/10 - Very blerhhh
Best Driver: Nico Rosberg much needed win for him. Worst Driver: Jenson Button really struggled. Could give him the benefit of the doubt and say something was off with his car (more so than usual) Best Rookie (Nasr, Verstappen, Sainz): Sainz Best Team: Mercedes - Cemented the fact that Ferrari wont challenge then seriously this year. Worst Team: McLaren - Embarrasing, unimpressive updates to already poor car. Red Bull only a little better. Best Overtake: Grosjean had a nice one. The others were very easy DRS moves. Funniest-moment: Lotus mechanics woes. Most Surprising Result: Nothing. Least Surprising Result: Also Nothing Special Mention to: Alonso was doing well. Maldonado is cursed. Race Rating: 2/10 ****e.
Best Driver: Rosberg/Maldonado Worst Driver: Raikkonen, terrible all weekend Best Rookie (Nasr, Verstappen, Sainz): Sainz Best Team: Mercedes Worst Team: Mclaren Best Overtake: Maldonado on Grosjean Funniest-moment: Lotus guy with icepack on his area Most Surprising Result: Rosberg dominates Least Surprising Result: Mercedes 1-2 Special Mention to: Alonso, probably would have been close to the points again without the retirement Race Rating: 5/10
Best Driver: Rosberg - Really dominant performance Worst Driver: Grosjean - Dropped it making a routine overtake, which led to him colliding with his team mate, then almost killed his pit crew. Not a good day at the office. Best Rookie: Nasr - Out-qualified and out-raced his team mate. Best Team: Mercedes - More dominant than ever Worst Team: Sauber - They've gone backwards at an alarming rate Best Overtake: Ricciardo on Grosjean Most Surprising Result: The Toro Rossos in qualifying Least Surprising Result: Mercedes Race Rating: 7/10 - Mildly entertaining. Some decent scraps in the midfield.

Best Driver: Rosberg, he just dominated the driver who has dominated him the last few races, what happened? Worst Driver: Hamilton, something has slipped with him again surely he just wasn't on it. Best Rookie (Nasr, Verstappen, Sainz): Best Team: Toro rosso Worst Team: sauber Best Overtake: Maldonado with reduced rear aero against red bulls Funniest-moment: grosjean giving his Jack man a lift Most Surprising Result: McLaren changed their livery! Least Surprising Result: McLaren are still no good Special Mention to: grosjean and Bottas, they need to be promoted to better teams next year. Race Rating: 6.5/10
]Best Driver: Rosberg. Worst Driver: Not sure, no really standouts but would probably go for Grosjean. Seemed to moan pretty much all weekend.. But people voting Hamilton. Seriously, get a life, he finishes second and gets worst driver of the day nomination because he didn't win for a change? Best Rookie (Nasr, Verstappen, Sainz): Sainz Best Team: Mercedes Worst Team: McLaren. No real improvement despite promise of serious updates. Best Overtake: Sainz of Kvyatt. Funniest-moment: Ice on the balls! Most Surprising Result: Torro Rosso Least Surprising Result: Merc 1-2 Special Mention to: Alonso's jackman. Well jumped out of the way sir Race Rating: 6/10
Best Driver: Rosberg Worst Driver: Grosjean Best Rookie (Nasr, Verstappen, Sainz): Stevens. Just in the hope that he'll eventually become an option.... Best Team: Mercedes Worst Team: McLaren, so much for points.... Best Overtake: Kimi around Verstappen into 6. Funniest-moment: Lotus just snapping off some of Maldo's car to 'fix" it. Most Surprising Result: Rosberg win? Least Surprising Result: Merc win. Special Mention to: the pit crews Race Rating: 6.5/10[
Best Driver: Rosberg Worst Driver: Hard to pick out any for this. Maldonado was having a great race until (inevitably?) he touched another car … Best Rookie: Sainz. But it is a pity this forum still refuse to recognise Stevens or Mehri. Best Team: Mercedes Worst Team: Considering their status, Red Bull. Best Overtake: Probably Ricciardo around the outside of Grosjean. Funniest-moment: Most Surprising Result: Manor at the back. Least Surprising Result: A McLaren failure. Special Mention to: Alonso Race Rating: 6.2/10
I picked Hamilton as worst because he has been driving a very high standard all year and Spain was a big shift. Out of all the drivers and the merc still being the top car Hamiltons performance was the worst in my opinion. Would have picked Maldonado but some of his overtakes with a broken rear were not bad.
Best Driver: Rosberg Worst Driver: Button or Grosjean (were not feeling it all weekend) Best Rookie (Nasr, Verstappen, Sainz): Sainz Best Team: Mercedes Worst Team: Lotus Best Overtake: Raikkonen round the outside first lap. Funniest-moment: Alonso... box box bollox.... Most Surprising Result: Rosberg Resurgence Least Surprising Result: Vettel on the podium is becoming least surprising, Marussia and Mclaren performance woes. Special Mention to: Lewis Hamilton put in a right stint after he lost time behind Seb, whether it was easy or not.. who knows. Race Rating: 4/10
If Lewis was driving the way he was in anything other than that Mercedes he would have finished 4th-5th with Kimi the way he was driving at Spain, not 2nd. It was no different to Vettel in Bahrain, he was off his usual best and was mediocre, even I said the same. Considering the constant high standard Lewis has had in the previous 4 races he was bound to eventually be poor once. Struggling to set the car up all weekend. Losing to his team mate in qualifying. Having a poor start costing any victory. Getting stuck behind Vettel. Needs help from pitwall to get 2nd. So that doesn't warrent as worst driver of the race/weekend. Those (5 valid reasons)? Who else did that many mistakes then?
How did he need help from the pit wall? He pitted early for the 2nd stop then ragged the car to get in front of Vettel to execute the plan. All I can see he did particularly wrong was get a bad start (even then is that him or the car systems and he was on the dirty side of the track). Was hardly a mare of a weekend, but if finishing second to your teammate is considered that bad, it is a compliment to Hamilton that he is held in such high regard that it is considered a disaster and a poor weekend on his part. I just think there were lots of other drivers out there who underperformed an awful lot more.
