he has managed to get the team winning which looked neigh on impossible when Gus left. For me I don't like his formation well not with the players we have in it. His subs are well thought out. I'm on the fence really. He seems to carry some luck which is a good trait to have. I know it's new players we need. Not sure on the pulling power of our man but he has a good pedigree. He speaks well and was honest about the performance today. Just wondering how everyone else is judging him?
Tricky one. We need a long term strategy and stability. At his age is he that man? My gut feeling is that if he keeps us up he'll shake Shorts hand collect his bonus and retire to the beach with his missus.
Don't know, is he the man to lay the foundations to put us on the right path? He's inherited a limited squad which leaves me non the wiser as there's not much you can do with them other than what he's doing with them. Can he evolve us?
if we stay up I'd like to see him stay for next season. The guy has vast experience and must have seen every player in Europe, so I'd hope he could bring in one or two cheapish gems, also I think he'd weed out the passengers among the current squad. The other thing is it would give the club plenty of time to think about a longer term successor.
Sounds good to me but I`m not sure it would happen. Keeping us up he`s done his job and if he stays longer his missus is likely to nack him.
Got to agree with this. We're screaming out for an old wise head and his knowledge of the game in Europe has to be a big bonus! We know it won't be long term, but he could lay some great foundations for his successor. It'll have to be a big sell to his missis though!!
Need somebody who can learn off dick Every year we have a manager who saves us for once lets gat somebody who can save us before the last game Oh for a boring season
I really find it hard to fathom his team selections with out and out forwards being stuck out wide and expected to defend, whilst we have natural wide players stuck on the bench..
Well I'm bloody happy with the win, but I honestly think it was more luck than judgement that got us there..
Probblies right this but I don`t care. They can bounce it in off their pollisses hats as long as it goes in the net.
I thought that when Johnson came on it sounded like we became more balanced and created more chances..I didn't see the game though so maybe wrong..
That would be my favourite option. I like Advocaat's steadiness, and it would give Clement a year to get his feet under the table. But would it suit Congerton to still have Dick around, or would he prefer to get his mate in and start building straight away? If it happens, I'd be well pleased.
I also wish he would take a chance on putting young Watmore on the bench..He is fast as lightening and full of confidence, but for one reason or another keeps getting overlooked..
