thought Coates did well. He is starting to look decent. Great to see Brown back I thought he was brilliant today. Chatter ole probably nicked it. Gomez was good. PVA looked dangerous going forward. Graham worked his socks off as did Defoe who was right back at times. Your thoughts?

Catts. Was outstanding as per. Made some vital tackles and interceptions when we were under a lot of pressure.

I said just that on another thread! He earned his stripes today.

Also, PVA put a good shift in and caused problems.

What? You think that was fluky?

Takes genius to deflect the ball on target like that!

    Catts, PVA, Coates and Wes.

Jones and Defoe worked hard too. Thought Seb was slightly off his game and Gomez struggled 1st half but turned it around and played a very strong second half.

Regarding the goals, yes they were lucky but both were very threatening moves with numbers forward and had Everton stretched, it's not like they were out of nothing

Coates for me, he controlled Lukaku superbly for 90% of the game, but Clattermole a close second.

Cattermole all day for me, plugged the gaps and still had time to get some decent passes in. The happiest thing was we played like a team today and did a worthy, if not pretty, job.

Tough one to call as everyone contributed, backs to the wall at times so it would be hard not to choose a defender, but i'll agree with Smug on this one. Dick shades it and as Smug said, brilliants tactics and substitutions at the right time. He's got us back to being hard to beat again and I don't care how the goals go in, we're always in with a shout if we're hard to break down.

Bring on Leicester, just 3 more points and we're deffo safe.
