Elmo is told to cross. Against the defence that has leaked more goals from crosses all season why wouldn't you?
Bruce did miraculously in his first six-months, but ever since Christmas 2012/13 we have been ****. Even in the second half of our promotion year, we won only one game more than we lost. Much like Arsene Wenger, he was the beneficiary of a very favourable FA Cup draw last year which allowed unexpected progress to gloss over abysmal team selection, dour tactics and generally insipid football. Off-field, no more needs to be said about Allam. But our League Two training facilities and non-league 'youth system' are a blotch on our good name. Bruce needs to be sacked, so a new man can be brought in in time for next season's Championship. How about Mark Warburton...?
You can put your mortgage on the 'lacklustre' ones still being with us next season if what now appears to be the inevitable happening. Let's be fair who would want them?!
I just don't understand the attitude today. Apart from Brady who bust a gut there was so much walking around, stupid fouls no endeavour whatsoever. Its such a shame to see. That was a must win just to give us a chance. An away win at Spurs?? Can't see it, I hope i'm wrong.
We started off too caustiously should have had Jelavic and Meyler on from start for Aluko & Livermore with 4-4-2.
Despite there being more passion in a virgin's pants - we're still in with a chance with Newcastle and Sunderland both only 2 points above us and we have the best goal difference.
Are you sure there hasn't been a bit of miscommunication and the players think they're in for a wage rise if you go down? Come on lads, sort it out. Would rather see Sunderland or Newcastle drop.
One of them will likely pick up at least another point. That leaves us needing to win one of the last two. Is that likely? Are Spurs on the beach? Will we be a match for Man Utd reserves?
Down now I'm afraid. A shame because a trip to Bournemouth and Watford was looking good. Still, for southerners we still have: QPR, Brentford, Fulham, Reading, Charlton and Brighton.
We've been utter ****e for around a season and a half. Then we have a mini-revival where we scrape a couple of results and on the back of that the Allams give Bruce a new 3 year contract. Yes, the Allams are quite right when the say they know **** all about football.
No players willing to interview on Humberside. ****ing disgraceful, if you put in a performance that bad you should come out and hold your hands up.
Bruce panicked with his substitutions, it was madness. There was no guile, no tactics, just a mass attack that drove the bus across the goal. This was a very poor team selection, Aluko and Huddlestone should have been nowhere near the starting eleven. There is six points to play for and we need a manager who knows his best eleven and shape. Burnley certainly had the rub-of-the-green, but we also make a great deal of bad luck for ourselves.
