That's a shame and i'm sure he'll get snapped up eventually but we i can see why hess has done it, we don't have space on the budget for a player that will cover one position considering frampton, jackman (if he stays) and lee can already both cover that position and Martin seemed very consistent with his performances last season as well. Good luck to the lad though, UTG!
slightly worried by the way we tend to do this and bring in players for positions that are already well covered, because even if we find someone better than what we have its hard to make room for them, espically on a tight budget
Who would have had to make way for Obersteller? It is very difficult to accommodate new players when the budget may have already been met, or exceeded. Only Hessy and the Chairman know what the budget is and they won't be saying anything.
I think he would have been good, but we are bringing in a high standard team and Hess knows best. stick by what he chooses,
