I agree with about all of that Finglas, except what you write about Ramsey. He has more experience in football than what you mention here, and is no rookie. He is a proven excellent Coach, whether he will be an excellent Manager or not, only time will tell, but I think he's doing well so far despite the results.

Re your conclusion. TF has had enough failures now that he should have learned from them and does have near 4 years experience in his role. I don't know about Les, maybe someone with more experience is needed in that role.

You can't compare Hughes keeping us up to Ramsey failure to do the same. CR hasn't had chance to bring in any new players. The cynic in me says CR is just the cheap option.

I'm still trying to work out WTF Les does for us .............. seriously!
I'm not sure TF knows what Les does ................... if he did and or when he finds, he'll probably ditch him.

Ramsey, well I've been trying to like for some time now BUT and I say this in all honesty ........... I think he may be TOO nice for our team of players.
He MAY be a good coach but being a manager is a whole new ball game. He needs to be tough and when required, slightly distant from the players.

Chris just seems all too chumy, nice, 'one of the boys' and that type of thing. The players need to know that the bar is being lifted each week and to stay on their toes.
With Chris, it may be a case of "ok lads, I've got your back and I'm here for you."

Maybe Chris cares too much, Harry as we know, didn't give a rats ass unless you had a microphone in your hand, then he would spend all day with you.
Maybe someone between the two ................. I'd take a Steve Bruce type of manager. Thrifty, knows the game, knows how to get a team back up and so on......

I seem to remember us getting an excellent coach/assistant manager by way of Stewart Houston who couldn't make the step up & have serious concerns of Ramsey's ability to do the same.

It was nothing about debating, as I said opinions yes of course but you don't know what is going on in the inside so difficult to form a true opinion of CR's formations.

So if you are saying its drivel, you are arguing against my statements that if you could have taken over from HR instead of CR.... that you would have done better than CR.........you really believe that ??? :)

and you are saying that its not true that many posters on here would like to play different formations !! Cos that is about all I said !!

Oh I forgot you are the tactical genius on this board :)

I think on the Coaching side of things COL would do very well. Tactically he's also very astute. He may well have got the players playing football using his systems, thereby cutting out the Bobby-Ball we've been playing all the time.

So as a Coach I think yes, he may have done better.

As a Manager though? No. COL's idea of what constitutes a good player is about as accurate as a blind man playing darts. He'd need someone to pick the team & make the changes. So maybe a Ramsey - COL combination might have been more fruitful than the Ramsey - Bond one we've had.

I just can't help but think that his win percentage HAS to count against him. It's currently just 18%.

He has also failed to win a single home game in 6 attempts, only achieving 1 point against West Ham

I'm sure he's a good coach and well liked, but what sort of message does this send out to the club? That continued failure is tolerated?

It's clear we need a radical overhaul at the club with respect to how it's run, and by that I mean investment and player production from our Academy and a stricter policy on player purchases. If they don't meet our 'profile', they're not shortlisted or even scouted.

The message from TF is that not alone is continued failure tolerated but it is rewarded with a 2 year deal. Great message to send to the academy players at the club.

This is NOT a football decision, it's taking the cheap option ahead of what is likely to be a financial meltdown. If TF was serious about a new direction he had the perfect candidate in Mark Warburton ready and available but chose the easy option.

It seems Fulham are ready to sign Warburton and that is another top opportunity to improve gone west. I really do despair...

Me too. This season has been a real eye opener for me and this would just be the icing on the cake. We fought so hard to get to the Premier League almost a year ago at Wembley and TF has just thrown our league status away by not investing in the squad in January and by appointing somebody who is totally out of his depth. If he compounds that mistake by rewarding somebody who is clearly a failure with a 2 year deal, that will be the final straw for me. I will wash my hands of this club and walk.

We are bearing a striking similarity to Newcastle, a temporary manager with no success being taken on because he'll just be delighted to be manager, nothing more. He won't demand players, he'll do as he's told, it's a recipe for failure...

Absolutely Sooper, and don't forget Terry Connor at Wolves. Remember him being caught in the headlights and bringing Wolves down with a whimper? Ramsey is exactly the same as Connor and Carver. TF needs to wake up before he makes another huge mistake that will cost himself tens of millions.

The Ramsey is a good coach myth seems to be based on him wearing a track suit and a set piece goal against WBA.

Could be the best coach in the world but if he plays Hill at left back ahead of Yun, Henry at left wing and isolates Isla and Vargas out of key games and favours hoof ball then this bloke ain't a good enough manager.

Got a feeling this thread will be bumped in 6 months time with us struggling for survival and CR having signed the crap Spurs kiddy cast offs

Based on what we've seen to date, that just isn't going to happen.

Whats wrong Tramore, the truth hurt? Not all of us will stand by quietly and allow TF to destroy this club. I thought this forum was for people to voice their opinions or is it just for those that toe the party line???

Fingi you're taking it far too seriously.......I certainly don't need you asking whether the truth hurts......and yes all opinions are welcomed otherwise I would have just agreed with you in the first place, but you know what, I don't.

So what are you going to do to stop TF destroying the club? Put up your hard earned cash to buy him out? No don't think so. You like the rest of us are fans only, we have no say in the way the club is run, we just give it our support. If TF wants to appoint Ramsey that is his perogative and there is nothing you or I can do about it. Will it stop me supporting the R's? Of course not.

You have your opinion, I just don't agree with it........move on.

Of course the forum is for voicing different opinions, it would be dead without it. Just because people don't agree with you doesn't mean they are supressing your view.

So apart from whining repetivetively on here, what exactly are you going to do to stop TF destroying the club? Because getting cross with people on here who have a different opinion to you isn't going to make much difference.

I don't know anybody who spends more time and cash following the Rs than you mate, huge respect for that. But it's only a game.
