Personally I think there has never been a better time for those who want to protest to deliver the message to Ashley. An empty stadium on Saturday would be great for their cause. I don't think they'll manage to achieve anything as Ashley will never change. Its just short term gain all the time for him.

I'm not a protester etc but I have reached the point now where I can't be bothered. I'll only go when I have to for work. Otherwise I don't recognise the club for what it should be. I don't even like what football in this country has become. The only thing that sucks me in is Newcastle. Now that is fading, I don't think I'll bother. As I always say, we sold out to sky and after a lovely new toy period, its stop being fun. It is soulless and overrated glossy bollocks being ruined by money.

That is perhaps the biggest shame - Kids today don't have a clue what 'real' football is. They are sold an overrated product that Sky and the FA like to trump as the best league in the world. Grounds are libraries, the players are millionaire prima donna's and the clubs have lost all ties with their local communities.

The only real thing the club can effectively do is change the entire structure. No, Mike/Lee/PR people, we don't accept your apology. It is both too early and too late. Your mistakes have set us on this path and we are all reaping from the rotten seeds you sow. Apologies are frivolous/pointless, nobody accepts you are truly sorry - the only thing any of you are 'sorry' about is losing your advertising privileges or a huge reduction in profitability, and it's not the fans who you feel sorry for even if it is only the fans who will ultimately suffer.

The "apology" should come in the form of the resignation or sideways step (minimum) by Lee Charnley, the resignation or sacking of John Carver and the written promise of investment from the board and owner. New MD, DoF, Manager, squad. That's your apology and the only one we'd accept.

I'll be there - Support the team people say. Okay, I'll be singing, cheering and shouting for 90 minutes. If any player...and that is ANY player decides to give less than 100% then I will make my feelings known towards them. They will hear me since I sit close to the pitch. I couldn't give a ****. If anyone around me sits in silence on Saturday after all of this talk about supporting the team, they will also get a piece of my mind.

Exactly as I see it. We knew they wouldn't buy in January, we knew what the consequences would be and yet those with the money and the power seem to see our current predicament as something of a surprise.

In fact, I don't expect Ashley and Charnley to listen to us on these matters - surely they should be able to work all this out for themselves before it happens? If us minions that shall not be spoken to could see it coming, why couldn't they?
