On this day 2007, the title was clinched with a 5-0 win away at Luton.

With a team of Martin Fulop, Stephen Wright, Danny Collins, Nos, johnny Evans, Grant Leadbitter,Dean Whitehead, Daryl Murphy, Anthony Stokes, Dwight Yorke, Carlos Edwards

subs...Varga, Ross Wallace, Stern John, David Connolley.

First game of that season was a 2-1 loss away to ****ing Coventry.<wah>

Is that team any better or worse than the present day one?

I'd take Evans from that team. You can keep the rest.

Daryl murphy has 27 goals this season for Ipswich !, and I miss the 'Nose'. Leadbitter, Whitehead and Stokes are still doing well. Varga a very good defender.

I was at that match . . . . what an absolute dump Luton is !
The tickets were allocated on an 'invitation only' basis, but there were quite a few of us in the stand to our right - near where Sir Niall was sitting.

Another marvellous day following The Lads :emoticon-0100-smile
