Firstly, Congratulations to Chelsea for winning the Premiership and taking up all our sports pages and airtime - both TV and Radio - since they were confirmed champions. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE it if it was US in their position, but consider this for 2014/15 season achievements.... Highest number of points in all 4 professional leagues plus the Conference (Chelsea can't catch us) Biggest goal difference (+58) - ok Chelsea COULD catch us, but unlikely as they would need 16 goals in 3 games with no reply First team to confirm promotion (Prem equivalent securing a Champions League place) First team to win a trophy First team to be confirmed as champions First team to win a 'double' Longest unbeaten run at the start of the season (Chelsea second) Highest scoring defender in the professional league (Flint: 13 goals) Highest number of goals scored in a league game - 8 (Joint record with Bournemouth) There may be more stats (JGF help me please!) but I'm tired and need sleep Highest number of assists - Freeman (16)??? Highest number of away goals - 6 ??? Highest home win margin - 6 ??? Basically, even if the last lot are not records, these stats are fantastic and I couldn't be more proud than I am right now - thanks Cotts - and long may it continue! Watch out Jose - we are after you - and our stats are better than yours!!!!!
Aye, I still think that Bristol City's best claim to fame, that their club is rhyming slang for breasts!
When did United turn into Arsenal?? Win **** all, lose games, but boast of their possessional prowess.
Possession stats, bemoaning injuries, trying to buy their way to glory, next year is their year statements, manager having meltdowns #unitednowjustanotherclub It's hilarious.
Well done Bristol City FC - 'The Bristol Babes' - and thank you for Roy Bentley who helped us win the old Division 1 way back in 1955.
I'm pretty sure Chris Garland was signed from Bristol City and he got a couple against Leeds at Stamford Bridge during 1972. Enjoy ......
15 years old and remember them well. Garland was in the Bristol City side that knocked us out of the FA cup a year or so after he left us.
....Chris Garland played alongside true footballing giants in the Youtude video I posted above - Chopper Harris, Alan Hudson and Peter Osgood to name but three. Chris Garland made the right choice in moving from Bristol City to us at that time.
