I get to more away games than I do home games, Tobes, most often in the home seats; where there's a will there's a way. Problem with away seating is that the view is often poor and I want to watch the game properly.
Not that I heard. You could hear some booing of the 19:04 chant btw. Oh and the match coverage started with a long close up of the NOT606 Bruce banner, in case anyone hasn't mentioned it.
Nobody called them singing sections FFS! That is something that has come in with the gentrification and sterilisation of the game. A singing section is somewhere you are generously allowed to actually support your team without some buffoon in a high viz jacket telling you to sit down. The biggest example of this nonsense was Man Utd having discussions about a designated singing area on the StretfordvEnd. The Stretford End! Anyone who can't see how ****ing ridiculous needs an irony bypass.
I'm not saying we called it a singing section BUT that was where most fans went who sang! It's only the introduction of seats that sections have been created so likeminded fans who want to stand and sing can do so together! I've not got a problem with it!
All grounds have a singing section, it might not be called a singing section, but there's always one stand that noisier than the others.
It used to be called a Kop. Now a "singing section" is where fans are graciously allowed by the club to support the team without some clown in a high vis jacket threatening to eject them. Man Utd had a debate on designating part of the Stretford End as a singing section. The Stretford End FFS! Anyone who doesn't find that ridiculous has had an irony bypass or only started going to football after 1992.
Last night showed one of the major failings of the stand move. In the past E1-E3 would have joined the rest of the East Stand and parts of the South in getting behind the team. Last night we had nearly 3,000 Arsenal fans stuck in the middle of those that wanted to sing. It'll be the same against Burnley. The away supporters in the North east corner may bring him more money but it affects the atmosphere in important matches when we are struggling and need the support. The sooner the away supporters are moved the better for me.
We now know it was never about creating a better atmosphere - gerrymandering fans out of his direct sight - with a matter of days / weeks to re- arrange seating arrangements that had formed over years, 36% price increase over 2 years, worse concourse facilities, (& now we know worse than away fans ffs) entrance system that is best slow at worse incompetent , allows the division lines to be drawn & the 'splitting' to fester. Time will tell - in the same way it has for that other 'sports messiah ' who did so much work for charity & then the truth of the 'Armstrong Lie' ...
A thread that was created after my phone-in... Fame at last, yet this thread has been over shadowed by more bull **** about Allam talk which to be honest is boring the tits off me!!!
Don't get annoyed by and city chant you little tosser !!! I get annoyed by pricks like you and all the General BS talk surrounding the name change Who rattled your cage, jog on, little boy, you are a muppet
So you're admitting that what you said last night was a lie? Because you said last night that people singing City Till We Die was annoying. Fancy responding in a sensible manner this time, or will you just spout insults again like a 12 year old?
If somebody calls me a prick then I retaliate, simple as that It was the other member who responded like a little school boy and also why I never come on here anmore and just stick to my own 2,000 strong forum
I'll ask again, are you admitting that what you said last night was a lie? Because you said last night that people singing City Till We Die was annoying, and now you're denying that.
Who wants the answer first? I said last night that I find the whole chanting against Allam out very boring and that fans should support the team and focus on the team, not off field politics until something actually happens We are in a relegation battle and Bruce has said himself that all this Allam out crap is affecting the players!!! OLM you don't even deserve a response.
If the anti-Allam stuff is affecting our players, what happened at Palace? Because it certainly didn't affect them there. People seem to be stuck in this ridiculous mindset that is impossible to support the team and protest the name change at the same time. It's quite ****ing easy.
