So I moved from my seat in N4 to N5 so I could take my 5 year old (12 feckin' quid by the way!). Behind me was a row of five or six Arsenal "fans" with Lincolnshire accents keeping pretty quiet so I said nothing. Second goal goes in an one gobby cnut jumps up giving it loads. I advised him to shut the fcuk up and (pointing to my daughter) informed him "he was lucky that she was here". At half time I collar a steward and tell him I think it's out of order. To be fair to him, he tootled off and comes back with his supervisor. Supervisor asks me to point out the offending fans, so I go back to my seat and do so. So; guess the result. 1. Visiting supporters are ejected according to stadium rules 2. Visiting supporters are politely requested to wait until the teams come out for the second half and "if they wish"!!! they can move into the Arsenal section. Answers on a postcard.
Im not surprised Arsenal had proper support - their club used the ASI money to make sure that the team was backed by a strong following backed by our money that the resident ****s gave them to enhance their experience
I know it's not related but there was a large group of Asians( numbering around 25) a couple of rows down from me in the West Stand. Every last one of them had a city shirt on, plus scarves etc. I couldn't work out which region of Asia they were from but they were all decked out in black and Amber/ sonic gold. One did have a half and half scarf but I can forgive him for that. I'm still perplexed as to who they were.
I think this may been the same group that parked next to me on Walton street. If it was they were from that well known asian city of Hull. They were in a very snazzy people carrier. and looked like an extended family group going by the ages.
I assumed, maybe wrongly, that they were local because of the registration plates.Whoever they were they were a happy bunch and going by the motor not short of a few bob.
Write to the club and ask them which other stadium rules can be ignored by fans. Can we drink in the seats, bring air horns in, set flares off? Ask if any City fans have banning orders due to being ejected from seats at away games and that clown Corcoran has asked for them to be banned. Shouldn't they not agree and surely they should arrange refunds of ticket money for any City fans so ejected.
Whoever they were, good for them. How refreshing to see people who presumably have moved here, are or are the offspring of people who have, supporting their local them unlike so many born and bred 'Ull folk.
When you report something to a steward, take their badge number, if they don't take the necessary action let me know and I'll take it up with them.
There's nothing wrong with away fans in the home stands as long as they don't disrespect the situation by giving it the biggun. I've sat in that North stand and not said a word and still got stick as I was obviously an away, as I didn't cheer your goals, it's ****ing small time that imo. Provincial lower leagues ****e.
Here's the thing, if the game is a sell out you have effectively stolen tickets from City fans instead of getting tickets from the pool allowed to Everton, so people have the right to be pissed off with you. If there are plenty of extra seats like there were last night then it's not too much of an issue for me as long as they aren't ****s and celebrate goals , in that case they deserve all abuse and violence that comes their way.
That section hardly ever sells out though does it? And those actually in the ground haven't had anything 'stolen' from them have they? as they've got a ticket................ Violence? Behave lad ffs, it's not the 80's. If someone's taking the piss then a "pipe down" is usually enough, failing that tell the stewards. It happens at every ground when a big club comes to town, it's just part of PL life.
You get a lot of students coming to games in N5, and obviously it's easier for them to get tickets from City so there were a big group of Londoners a few rows below me. One of them stood up and cheered the goal and would have got an earful if I'd been closer but thankfully his mates sorted him out. I had some French guys behind me last night supporting city thankfully and one of them in particular was a passionate supporter to be fair.
I thought you were on about the Everton game? PL fans have a lot to learn about being a football fan.
