Didn't anyone go today? We can't not have a thread with the above title even if nobody has a match report. I didn't go and also was out today at daughter's so didn't get to hear any of it either. Report currently stands at "boys apparently did good".
Didn't go (having been to two of the last 3 away matches) but listened to sparksy and it seems we were pretty good from start to finish. McHugh was simply outstanding and Reid was a close 2nd for MOTM. Main thing is we are only the 2nd team to beat the shrews away and the only one to do the double against them. Good momentum going into the playoffs and we have already beaten Wycombe once over two legs this season. Looking forward to the final.
So rest your twenty goal player and then also because of sickness not play your thirteen goal player also, whilst playing away to the team with the best home record in the league.....and then beat them 2-0 with reasonable ease.......well it sounds a good story but come on lets get realistic.....it will never happen. Fact and fiction does at times seem to get mixed up now and again......
I did tell you that this was just the sort of game Argyle would win. It goes with their total inconsistency over the season and I honestly did think they would win today. I almost wish I'd backed them at the bookies. I do agree with the Wycombe thing being possibly the best outcome for us and it does seem to be the concensus generally across the boards. However, it's that inconsistency thing that worries me. The same team seldom appear two weeks on the trot althought the team sheet reads the same. I certainly don't want to get carried away into thinking we are there because we are far from that yet. Respect to Wycombe who have kept coming back in matches and I am sorry they didn't make it automatically.
I was thinking 2-0 Sensible but got some Grand Lotto tickets instead and not checked them yet. Great result and yes if was more consistent over the season should have been automatic promotion But that's Argyle for ya .....hope you were all playing I Spy after lunch. ...bloody nice feeling ain't it folks
well played Argyle. 1 town fan described Argyle's performance as the best team seen at the Meadow, er except Chelsea! good luck in play offs
I was completely confident we'd get a result at Shrewsbury. That was from 16.45 onwards on Saturday of course.
