    Queen Nefertiti 33/1 e.w

This is a lovely filly by Galileo out of Chintz, who was 5th in the Irish 1000 at her peak. This horse made a lovely impression on debut last season when beating Even money stablemate and two Ballydoyle fillies. The form is okay if not spectacular, with them being rated around 90 since. However, she went wide the whole way that day and yet still challenged on the bridle before galloping away to win nicely.

I was a little disappointed with her reappearance at Dundalk 9 days ago when she was a narrow 3rd, but again she challenged wide, and the winner was American bred from the red-hot Weld stable, so could well have handled the surface better. She again travelled really nicely and if she comes on for the run fitness wise, she could readlily outrun those fancy odds tomorrow. I think she should relish the fast pace and I hope she can put herself in the frame to reward my e/w support.

It doesn't look vintage and the only one I'm afraid of is Jellicle Ball.

    Arab Dawn @ 12/1 1:50 Newmarket

Hughie Morrison barn in rude heath, 3 winners and a second during the last two days, Arab Dawn is unexposed at this 1M 4F trip on turf, his only attempt being a 5L fifth to Elite Army at Royal Ascot under today's Good/Firm conditions, jockey Richard Hughes 25% (24/96) for this stable over the past 5 years.

    Good Luck!

Surely Floyd at Evens to win on points is buying it?!!! We know he likes to coast in and he's hardly a knock out specialist, a points win seems logical.

I took him to win at 4/7. Don't care how he does it and as much as I think he's an odious toad he's the logical winner tonight. Had all my rollover from this week at Punchestown on it so have also taken the pay per view. The Yanks pay $100 to see it and we only get charged £19.99 - best value of the weekend?

Fabre doesn't mess about when he has runners in England so i've taken 7/4 Fintry to win at Newmarket tomorrow. Good horse. Sets a high standard.

Good week Bobster? Mine was tough but came out just about evens, largely thanks to young Patrick on Uncle Junior, Yorkyhill and the bumper horse today. Had a few other ones but they were the main ones. Unle Junior was particularly sweet, seemed to be about the only one oncourse shouting for Patrick in the headbobbing finish :)

If i'm honest mate it was very poor and if i'd had my puniting pants on i'd have been absolutely screwed with Don Poli and Djackadam both losing. Putting the accumulator on before the festival was a stroke of luck because, although it lost, I only committed a normal stake and it stopped me getting carried involved in those supposed hotspots that failed to fire. I did a good chunk on Pleasant Company - it ran again today but Katie was ****e on it - thankfully Nichols Canyon was a real good bet and he won well. Every man and his dog seemed to be on but he was still a good price at 4/5 when I expected 1/2 at best. A couple of wins in the handicaps rescued the week.

To sum up i did okay and probably got quite lucky in doing so.

I loved Uncle Junior's race. How can a 14 year old still give it so much. Cracking horse.

Was just a week of Willie showing off, basically saying even if the first strings don't win, I've enough back ups to boss the week anyway basically! Pretty much all the big guns showed their class, bar Don Poli I guess, even if Fly and Djakadam lost they both run huge races, and for Fly to be showing up like that at 11 years old in a Grade One over a new trip was still highly commendable I thought.

The ride Patrick give Uncle Junior was simply mint. There'd be boys creaming their pants if it was Ruby or AP give a horse that ride, but typically not much said when it's the trainer's son lol :)

The biggest problem with assessing the 1000 Guineas card this early is not knowing how much of the forecast rain will hit the Rowley Mile. It was running very quick on Saturday. I noticed after the races that a couple of horses were fitted with ‘rubber’ shoes, presumably because they were feeling their feet.

The Dahlia Stakes always turns up some good older fillies and mares and this year looks no exception. Fintry did not win first time up last term but Andre Fabre won the race last year so the Godolphin France filly cannot be ruled out. Sir Michael Stoute has an excellent record in the race and Bragging has the profile of the improving filly that uses this as a stepping stone to better things. Clive Brittain’s filly Rizeena ran in the best races last season and tops the ratings but there has to be a question mark about her beyond a mile, so another chance is taken on Belle D’or who was not given the best of rides on her last start.

There is very little strong evidence to go on in the 1000 Guineas. Pricewise ante post punters have burned their fingers with Together Forever defecting as well as ante post favourite Found. Ballydoyle’s challenge has been reduced to Qualify, who is impossible to assess but has finished behind Lucida. The change of tactics on Tiggy Wiggy in the ‘Fred Darling’ means that we have no idea whether she stays and what tactics will be used so it is easy to bypass her. Presumably Redstart will be allowed to bowl along and she accounted for Jellicle Ball, who ought to improve for the experience but will it be enough to overhaul her rival? Local Time comes here unbeaten after a campaign in Meydan and is difficult to assess on turf. The Nell Gywn winner Osaila has race fitness on her side and the extra furlong should be okay so she gets the nod over Godolphin acquisition Lucida, who accounted for Fadhayyil when they last met.

The Pretty Polly Stakes threw up last year’s Oaks winner and John Gosden runs Jazzi Top, a daughter of smart Zee Zee Top, who could be better than her bare form to date. Dermot Weld’s maiden winner Zannda must be well regarded to be venturing here. The standout form in the race belongs to Godolphin’s filly, Winters Moon, third in the Fillies’ Mile and trained by Saeed bin Suroor, whose last run should have put her right for today.

I do not back first-time-in-a-handicap maiden race winners, so Global Force should go well in the getting out stakes but I do not think it will be a decent price.

    Newmarket
    14:25 Belle D’or
    15:40 Osaila
    16:50 Winters Moon

stoute who is having a woeful time may win with MUSTARD.

I'd really like Redstart to win the Guineas but it may be a bit difficult with Tiggy Wiggy probably taking them along at a pace for the first 6 furlongs.

The filly I really want to win is Forte who will apparently run in a hood and lead. It hopefully makes her settle, as the family is renowned for pulling.

Mayweather's like the baddie's in wrestling from back in the day. Antagonising the crowd. Getting stuff thrown at him. Booed relentlessly.

I said a few weeks ago that the best double of the year was Mayweather to win this fight and the Conservatives to win the most seats in the election. At the time they were both 4/7. Buying money. Forgot to put it on.

Manny saying he thought he won the fight in his post match interview. In denial.

It was a woeful superfight and I doubt anyone will be in a rush to buy a Mayweather PPV again.

Pacman needed to take more risks and he's either in denial or crazy if he thinks he was ahead. I know he is fristrated that Mayweather runs a lot but so were the other 47. You have to find a way and without a jab or a strong lead hand, you can't even begin to unlock Floyd.

Defensive genius. I don't like him, but you can't not rate him.
