    Yup, Wolfswinkel signed for Sporting at the start for something silly like £5.3 million? And Sigthorrson, who was another one of our supposed targets, went to Ajax i think.

    I'd have liked to go for Youssef El-Arabi from Ligue 1 too, but it seems he's close to completing a £5 million move to Genoa i think it was.

    Any one of them i'd have like to have. Theyve all shown potential and can do it already in their respective leagues, yet have gone relatively cheaply at £5 million each, especially when compared to some others we've been linked with like £10 mill for Long and Erdinc, £20 mill for Sturridge, etc...

    Someone like Vela or Caicedo would be perfect in my opinion. Targets like Gervinho, Sow, Rondon were/are out of our league, currently.

    Im glad Carlton Cole is off to Stoke so i dont have to worry about him anymore and im totally on the fence about Bentdner, athough i reckon he'll be off to the bundesliga.

    Nolan Roux is another bright prospect available, weve never been really linked with him yet though.

    well i think since signing Ba we won't be signing another typical 'big man' probably a poacher to play off of him and shola, i'd take a part ex for long using best but i'd still like to see someone else come in as well as him.

    Never heard him mentioned at all, he's at Sporting Lisbon and has been since 2005. Could be good, he's african (who seem to be doing well in the EPL) but he's capped by Portugal meaning we wouldn't lose him for the ACoN

    Like i said, he's already signed for Ajax.

    If we were ever actually interested in him then we didnt act early enough.

    I've never been impressed with Vela's stats, at Arsenal or any of his loan clubs. Having said that, I'm not sure how many of his appearances have been starts (no shame in getting stuck being Peter O with the way he played out the last couple months of the season), and I do think he shows promise

    Pretty sure Cheick Diabate signed a new contract with Bordeaux just after all those stories started coming out. Not that contracts mean anything in football...

    Shefki Kuqi is still available. <yikes> I have a feeling that it will end up with all of our targets going elsewhere and then it will be someone like Jay Bothroyd coming in on the last day. :sad:
