I am meeting my mate in a Wetherspoons for breakfast and then getting the train down. I will be eating bacon and hopefully watching Troy bring more home
One thing you can't get in NZ is decent crusty bread. I have to make my own but I only have time at the weekends. It is one of my jobs for today - double the amount now because the children eat much of it as soon as it cools.
One thing I had intended to include in this match thread, but I had all sorts of technical problems with the photos I wanted to use, so forgot, was the excellent contribution made this season by Jon Marks. Not only do us living in the back of beyond get his impassioned commentaries, but this season we have had his pre-match show along with the after game interviews with players and staff. As a free lance commentator it is clear where his loyalties lie,yet he is fair, and the work done with the students from the Bucks Uni. amazes me. He does a commentary, the youngsters film it and they somehow tie the two elements together for the extended highlights. Great work and many thanks from me.
Great thread OFH - thanks. Right, ticker-tape cut up, yellow balloons in pocket, 1982 promotion flag ready to go, pulled calf muscle from jumping about like a lunatic last Saturday getting better...will be leaving S. Lincs at 8am with my 6 year old. Feel a bit like a 6 year old myself to be honest. Come on, let's finish the job and get that trophy. COYH!
I love makimg bread, it's a real labour of love. Just don't get the time these days, maybe with a few Saturdays free I could knock up a few Bloomers!
An owl who would rather we beat them than Bournemouth win the title. Sensible chap... https://owlsonline.com/?page=news&news_id=1393
Morning all All geared up here and leaving in half an hour... erm.. but do tell me.... why would Mlle Yorkie need to be putting fake tan on?? COYH!!!!!!!
Overtook a car properly dressed out in the Watford flags and scarfs when I drove in from Bristol and that was yesterday evening! Made me smile though.
Am looking forward to something similar to this today - Wednesday came to town in third place, with the best away record in the division, and this happened...
Brilliant thread OFH. Thanks. Am gutted I can't get there today, but happy if they can resell my season ticket seat for charity. Best wishes to all who are going, and of course Nic who is still very much in our thoughts. Have a great celebration.
