It's a good job we've been playing well the past couple of games, means we don't have to rush him. Save him for the Burnley game.
I imagine he'll only come off the bench if we are drawing or within a goal of them with about 20 minutes to go.
Give him 10-15 minutes here and there until the Burnley game and then let him start. Im actually very happy with N'Doye & Aluko upfront... I've been a big critic of Aluko's but he does look like he's getting better and better the more game time he gets. Saying that, he's an attacking player, he needs to start creating and scoring goals, otherwise whats the point?
Aluko played excellently against Liverpool. The only issue is he's terribly inconsistent. At times he can be a world beater, at others he can look like he's never seen a football before. He's got all the tools - he just needs to use them consistently.
He played equally well (maybe better) against Palace so that's two good back to back performances - let's hope he keeps it up. Great news about Jelavic though. Gives us that option.
Jelavic will be pushing hard for fitness because there's a chance N'Doye could finish top scorer. I love Jelavic's energy, but I get annoyed by how greedy he is and the way everything funnels through him when he's on the pitch.
Tad harsh when the stats say he's by far our most influential player. Really don't understand how any City fan can criticise him tbh.
The biggest difference with Aluko, is that he didn't throw his arms in the air and freak out every time something didn't go his way, causing him to lose focus. He finally looks back on his game.
You know the Burnley game is our next game after Arsenal? You can't give him 10-15 minutes 'here and there'.
Perhaps players pass the ball to him because they know there's more chance of Jelavic scoring than Hernandez or Aluko?
Aluko has been creating, he was instrumental in setting up the first at Palace, which Brady should probably have scored from himself had he controlled it properly, and put the ball on a plate for N'Doye against Liverpool.
If we can snag a result against Arsenal, I'd be tempted to rest Jelavic, Diame and Robertson for the rest of the season and get them right for pre season training Obviously if results go against us then we can't do that however as long as we're 3 points clear of the relegation zone (as our goal difference is worth half a point) I'd keep them off the pitch If we start next season with a fit and firing Jela, Diame, N'Doye and Robertson we should hit the ground running...
What don't you understand about that? Care to enlighten us or you too simple minded to understand that aswell?
