Player is a pretty key word, too. Winning Championship griddle of the month, for example, wouldn't help him much.
Most of the time, if a player is doing well in the Championship, scoring goals and winning awards, then Premier League clubs usually try and buy them. Thankfully, we don't have to try and buy him, he's already ours.
We lack quality attacking players. If he wasn't already our player people would be saying sign him up.
This is good news, whichever way you look at it - either his re sale value has jumped up if we choose to sell him or when he comes back to us he's in form and confidence (which he won't have been post Palace) and ready to make a challenge for a spot next year
Don't get me wrong I'm not having a go or anything it is good news of course, I'm just sceptical as a lot of players are good in the championship and can't make the step up.
