Ive seen the prices somewhere on the internet that you charge £69. We don't price our tickets either mate.
Well you haven't seen them because we don't. I know you don't set your prices. Why have you taken it as a personal affront?
You lost, you should be glad you saved your £50. Did you realise your lot charged us £43 for a **** view with over zealous stewards.
Yes, LFC supporters are well aware our club charge ridiculous prices, we have to pay them every match! That's why we have had several protests at Anfield about it, at least 4 I can recall. We had a joint protest with Man City in Feb about Anfield prices. Plus away protests at Arsenal. Todays protests has had worldwide coverage and had several newspaper/web articles in major publications. The goal is to raise awareness, to spark a debate. In those terms, today's protest is nothing but a resounding success. It worked, it got the result we wanted. But it's only one battle, and like mentioned before you pick the battles you have a chance of winning. Spirit of Shankly group have offered to work with any away supporters coming to Anfield to help protest our own ticket prices as they acknowledge they are a disgrace. The overall fight is not against Hull, certainly not it's supporters or inhabitants. The goal is to get as many regular fans on the same side across the entire league. Too many people are just happy to snipe, label, whinge, criticise, slag off, resort to sterotypes when someone is trying to actually do something about it, to do anything. The premier league fat cats have already won, when supporters would prefer to slag others off for daring to even try to change things. You play into their hands, conquer and divide. We all better lube up our wallets and let them continue to dip in when ever they want.
I agree about the prices being too high, that's why I did not go tonight. This season I have only attended our £16 home matches. My most expensive was QPR away at £35. Good luck with your actions
I saved £40 actually. Yes I did realise that. I don't agree with it and actively disagree with it. Why have you reacted like I've walked in to your front room on Christmas morning and pissed on your dinner?
Haha. I agree with that, should have swapped us with Everton! Well done tonight BTW, hopefully those points and the Palace result will see you through. I reckon you're safe now, I can't see the others picking up enough points.
Despite my scepticism I would say yes, good effort and well done. I'm sure we all agree with your aim, I think the problem for us is our fair city is infested with detestable rugby fans who claim to be Liverpool fans and who have been utter ****s about their home town club which tends to flavour any discussions with actual scousers. I just hope you can keep it going, after all we all benefit.
Apologies if I come across arsey to you. I actually hate our owner for many things. One of those things is the prices. I haven't really seen Lpool fans publicly slate prices prior to the Hull game so it seems you are directly having a go at my team. Anyway, best of luck with your actions. Off to bed now.
It's been happening. Something was done at Arsenal the other week, we've done a few things at home games as well. None have got the media recognition that this did though.
'Spirit of Shankley'. Pah!!!! The great man would turn in his grave if he was aware of what the modern owners are doing to the traditions of the club. Liverpool were traditionally a pride and passion club with players who played for the shirt. They are now no more than a team of foreign mercenaries earning ridiculous salaries without ever earning their keep. The club also used to be a vessel for scousers (non - Everton I answered that is), to show their local credentials in the name of the famous shirt. It's now no more than a tourist attraction!
And until you stop doing that nothing will change. Its all well and good organising protests (and I applaud you for doing so), but there's no incentive for change when your willing to pay those prices for the other 95% of the season and your ground sells out for every game.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32713079 How much!?? Scouse ****s. 47 quid for a cat c game? I look forward to seeing the mass boycott of the game in protest at the prices. Did I mention scouse ****s?
Ticket for Liverpool fans to see Gerrard's final game - £37 (£47 wasn't the cheapest ticket) Ticket for City fans to watch their (possibly relegated) teams final game - £50 Happy's view on ticket prices - Priceless
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32713079 Or £1324 as fellow scousers rip each other off, whilst still moaning at ticket prices charged by the clubs.
Tickets for the boycotted game against us were still trading over face value on the tout sites as fans spent £10 for a ticket they didn't use so they could still get £40+ ticket for the next game, meaning it cost more than ours. I'm all in favour of cheaper tickets, but there's a fair amount of double standards in all this.
