    Much prefer N4 over E3
Away visitors are up 5% because other clubs use their ASI money to help their fans get here!

He may have increased the uptake in Away fans attending the KC but the average attendance this season compared to last season is down 800 per game. Perhaps he needs to lookat improving the experience for the home fans (after saying that the hike in season pass prices & match day tickets probably covered this loss).

I think this explains the alleged wrinkles in the recent efforts to produce flags and banners for home fans - Mauled has clearly been far too busy working for Ehab to produce massive banners of Kenny Dalglish, Liam Brady, Steve Kindon and Norman Whiteside. An understandable distraction.

    No no no
You see you've missed the point again
There may have been a slight increase due to them getting cheaper tickets, but the majority came because they'd heard all about how the ASI money had led to a much nicer experience for them
I wasn't aware that had been used as a compelling advert, but that will because I'm a City fan. Maybe all other clubs fans got an email with pictures of the nice new facilities, that will be why they came. Cheaper tickets? Pah... I don't think so
The disappointing thing is that other clubs haven't sought to entice us in the same way. I would have been much more likely to travel to Swansea if they'd spent a bit on making the away end prettier
And in only 4 or 5 years it will have more than paid for itself because the increased fan numbers are likely to keep coming every year now they've been able to actually experience a properly managed away end

You're not looking at the bigger picture

Tis true. Part of the timing of the announcement was making sure the £200k cheque cleared. <ok>

I hereby accuse you and mauled of misappropriating Crystal Palace's ASI money. An unexpected twist.

I doubt they'll have one officially.

So you haven't read where the ASI funding came from?

It came from Hull City. All clubs fund it from their own budget.

They got a lot of money for being in the Prem, and some of that was then agreed to be budgeted for the ASI fund.

    PS, I didn't really get anything. <ok>

Hardly a surprise, the away supporters are generally those who want the Allam's out, refuse the name change and constantly abuse them on here and on social media.

It's hardly a surprise that the Allams are not going to reduce ticket prices or provide travel for those who hate them. I'm sure that they'd prefer it if the Allam Out brigade never attended a game again and they certainly won't make it more affordable for them to attend.

Away fans hate Allam. That might just be silliest over generalisation I've seen in the last two years of this debacle.

It's true to say that the type of fan who goes away is more against him.

More City fans, less Allam fans away from home.

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/ apr/29/premier-league-finances-club-by-cl ub

    HULL CITY
Accounts for the year to 30 June 2014

Ownership Owned by Assem Allam via his company, Allamhouse, registered in the UK

Turnover 19th highest, £84m (up from £17m in 2013, including parachute payments)

    Gate and matchday £12m

    Premier League including TV £68m

    Commercial, retail, catering £4m

Wage bill 20th highest, £43m (up from £26m in 2013)

Wages as proportion of turnover 51%

Profit before tax £9m (after £26m loss in 2013)

    Net debt £65m

    Interest payable £3m

Highest-paid director Assem Allam’s company was paid £165,000 for his and son Ehab’s services.

    State they’re in

Another promoted club, City’s income instantly increased by £67m, turning the £26m loss incurred to win promotion into a £9m profit. Assem Allam seeks to manage money shrewdly; the club repaid £5.6m of his company loans, which remained £67m, on which he charges 4% interest.

City stayed up after Allam sanctioned spending for Steve Bruce, and they reached the FA Cup final. A shame such a landmark achievement was soured by Allam refusing to talk to the local council over a potential stadium expansion and trying to change the club’s name to Hull Tigers, which many fans vehemently oppose.

I thought 'away fans' were usually the most loyal fans the club have.
Can you imagine any football game without any away fans present?
Wouldn't come across very well on SKY.

Yes, but Allam wants people who are loyal to him not the club. Could you imagine the atmosphere if the only people in the ground were the pro Allam silent majority types?
