That's why I've no been as involved in the fight as others. I do think that protesting at games is rather unhelpful. I admire the energy people have put in the fight but I worry about it affecting the club.

Bruce should stay out of all this. He's Switzerland in all this.

I wish some on here would listen and quit the incessant hatred.

Another great day at the circle!

I guess he's trying to diffuse the situation until the close season and wants everybody focussing on what's happening on the pitch.

    (I'm not defending Allam)

So he's disappointed, big deal. Sometimes I'm disappointed in his team selection.

This isn't a cult we're in, Bruce is not a cult leader, we don't have to be obedient to his every wishes.

I'm sure privately he wishes Allam would drop the name change bollocks all together, but I understand that he can't make that view public, so he calls for unity, but Bruce will know the source of any disharmony.

Anybody stating that Allam out protests are negatively affecting the team are 1) ignoring evidence there for all to see and 2) just trying to silence opinions they don't like by implying protest is 'unpatriotic'.

The stadium was hardly bouncing early on. Finally a bit of noise from 19 minutes onwards and the Allam Out chants seemed to wake a few up. I would say it helped the atmosphere in the same way that a bad challenge on someone does. If Bruce wants the crowd to help the team more he should start by asking those in West Stand to do more than politely applaud a back pass.
And I'm yet to hear any chants in support of Allam, compare that to the universal praise AP used to get from the crowd.

Biased opinions make this subject once again futile. Nevertheless, if Bruce is saying the truth, I still don't think it's right it gets to the point where the players are talking about it, they have more important things to focus on.

How can he be Switzerland when's he employed by the dictator. He'll be trying to get funds for new players from that dictator. Keeping quiet might be more detrimental to his personal job status. The fans are bringing politics onto the pitch, forcing Bruce's hands in answering questions or voicing an opinion that isn't solely about football. He's not siding with the Allams he's just saying he would rather just think and speak about football related issues.

SB wasn't asked about it in last night's interview, he decided he wanted to bring it up, then said it didn't affect the players. He's said in many previous interviews he'd rather talk about football, which is what he was there to talk about last night.

Of course but how can you expect him not to bring up the elephant in the room?

He explicitly said " I feel the need to bring it up" that should tell you a lot

The players will talk about a lot of ****. I guarantee they will spend far more time criticising each other's fashion sense than they do talking about Allam/the name change. It is having ZERO effect on the team as made obvious by the 6 points from the two games where anti-allam chants have been present.

Still doesn't explain why this Allam Out brigade can't get organised outside of games and protest and confront Allam directly. Mostly down to the fact that they would struggle to get a large enough number to bother.

During the game it clearly had very little affect on the players.

The next few games are vitally important to us and we need to all get behind the players. The name change is vitally important for the next 100 years. If we lose our next 4 games we may get relagated, but Hull City AFC will still exist. If Assam gets his way there will be no Hull City to support. If Brucey want people to support Hull City, I say those who are actively fighting against Assam are supporting Hull City as much anyone else, they just care about the next 100 years not just the next 4 games.
