Don't think we've ever properly recovered from selling Chris Sutton to Blackburn, if he was still playing for us there's no way we would have lost on Saturday, and I reckon we'd probably have won the Europa League by now. It's that fat ****er Chase's fault we choked so unbelievably in these past two games, I'll never forgive him.
I understand a lot of the latter posts on this thread are tongue in cheek , but the early ones blaming managers who are long gone are nothing short of ridiculous. Our run to get us to the position we were two weeks ago was fantastic. Since then we got outplayed for 15 minutes and then shut out by a good outfit for the rest of the game. Saturday saw a double hit, 1 delivered by the FA meaning Rotherham suddenly had an interest the other by a minute of utter F IN madness, To blame anything / anybody else at this point of the season is ridiculous. We are where we are. I can't see Bournemouth throwing away two chances and I think they deserve to go up, if they didn't at our expense I wouldn't give a monkeys, but good luck to them. Regroup bring on the play-offs and FFS let's at least stick together for 3 maybe 4 more games.
Couldn't agree more!!!!! Just found this - Date and kick-off time - Play-Off ties May 8, 2015 (7.45pm) - Championship - 6v3 1st Leg May 9, 2015 (12.15pm) - Championship - 5v4 - 1st Leg May 15, 2015 (7.45pm) - Championship - 3v6 - 2nd Leg [3] May 16, 2015 (12.15pm) - Championship - 4v5 - 2nd Leg [4]
If we had appointed Alex Neil rather than Neil Adams to the full time managers post I believe we would have achieved automatic promotion this season. So I blame the board, or those on it responsible, for appointing Adams full time. Perhaps there were legal/contractual reasons for not doing so, I don't know. But I can't believe McNally didn't appreciate Alex Neil's potential last summer.
I would imagine DM knew about AN before the end of last season but was monitoring Hamilton Accies, as they had only just been promoted. Once Hamilton and NA proved they could do well in the SPL, DM acted
I may have posted a similar comment before, but after our 2nd defeat by Reading in the space of a few weeks - if someone had offered us 4th place in the table at the end of the season, how many of us on here would 'have snapped their hand off????' <putshandupemoticon>
You are correct sir. We didn't lose too many under Adams either, in fact the only one we have lost in 2015 was against Preston in the cup, none at all in the league.
I believe that we have got more points away from home than at home this season, which is a rather ludicrous stat.
I imagine not many teams over the years have had our away form and failed to go up. 13 away victories should normally mean automatic promotion.
We have always boasted about fortress Carrow Road, but this season our home form has been our weakness for some strange reason. I know many teams come and park the proverbial bus but we should be good enough to overcome this, but for whatever reason we have failed to do on too many occasions.
Just reviewed our home results against the bottom seven. Won just three of them, two draws and two losses. I would guess that is the worst record of any team in the top eight, virtually half the points available lost 10/21.
